Alright, in the story that I intend to write, the one I have been asking questions for. (Criminal/booze thread, don't worry, I will probably ask more eventually) I have yet another question to pose.

In the story Harry is of course going to go "dark" as that is the funnest and that is the best. I am in need of a fun female to pair him up with that he can corrupt!

    It isn't going to be:
    The Whore (Ginny)
    Luna (She just isn't Evil)
Tonks (Will take place after HBP...)

I was thinking, perhaps Daphne Greengrass, but I would like to hear everyone's opinions on who they want to see. For the reason mainly the some pairings have been over-done lately.

Depends, are you making a distinction between Dark and Evil? Or are the two the same to you?

If Dark = Grey (I know, this sounds stupid, but I'm sure you understand what I'm going for), then I'd say a pairing like Harry/Fleur, Harry/Tonks (which you've ruled out), the completely unexplored pairing of Harry/Hestia Jones (make her an Unspeakable on the side, maybe with a specialty for the Dark Arts/Dueling?). In more contemporary (for his age group) pairings, I'd say Harry/Su Li, Harry/Tracy Davis (Ravenclaw) or Harry/Katie Bell.

If you're going Evil!Harry, then HP/Grey!DaphneGreengrass, HP/BlaiseZabini (female, of course), HP/PansyParkinson...or you could make an OC Slytherin/Ravenclaw who is a few years older/younger. Of course, Harry/Narcissa (ONLY) would be fantastic, too, and if you do that, for god's sake make her competent, not just eye candy :( Harry/Bellatrix...unfortunately, and even though I'm writing one of these myself, HP/BL has become overused with Evil!Harry to the point where Bellatrix' character is rarely appealing at all. Only Malice? does it right, otherwise she's all about the "Crucio! Har Har, itty bitty Potty!" >_<

I'd ask for either Tracy Davis or Katie Bell in Grey!Harry, or Narcissa Malfoy or Daphne Greengrass for Evil!Harry. With Narcissa, I'd say make her evil from the get go, but with Daphne, make her Grey!Daphne from the beginning, and slowly pervert her.

And...it'd actually, and I'm amazed at saying this, be ridiculously original if you actually portrayed Harry becoming mentally deranged because of Dark Magic...I've never seen a story show the gradual change well at all, its always just a *snap* "I'm EVIL, Bitches!" thing >_<

Good luck writing it, I'm eager to see what you come up with.

Thanks for the response Yarrgh Rep++ for greatness in your reply.

I intend to make it a "Dark = Evil" fic, none of tha grey crap. And so I will probably use one of the two you have suggested. Although, it will probably be Daphne unless I can think of a good way to get Harry/Narcissa together.

And I will see what I can do to make him go mad with dark magic, it is what I intended to do from the start, none of the instant insane shit. No, I want it too seem realistic and I hope I can do that well.

Are we talking like psychotic insane Luna? Or just slightly deranged Luna?

I like the first one personally.

Personally I'd like to see H/Narcissa, be a bit hard to pull off after HBP, but then she is the only one who has some character development. Any other Slytherin girl would be more or less entirely your creation, so essentially if you can do a good job introducing a new character go for it.

I wouldn't go for Pansy Parkinson, I think she is firmly in the enemy/ minor annoyance category. Plus she is written as hanging off of Malfoy, and who wants his seconds.

Or my personal favorite he steals Fleur, that veela rage is ripe for twisting to the dark side.

Either way, looking forward to reading your story.

Narcissa would be a fun character to use however, I just don't think that it will fit into this story. (Alhough now I am worried as people keep looking forward to it)

However, I might be able to do it with my other story, "A New Beginning" if I decide to make it more then a One-shot like people seem to want me too.

As for the Luna pairing....she just isn't the evil type if you ask me. She can be man and insane all she wans, but I can't see her committing murder. Perhaps not aiding those who are dying but not killing people in a tantrum or such.

Quidam, I am going to forget you even suggested that.

    Cheers for the rep.

Hmm...a possible situation for Harry/Narcissa (I really want to see this pairing done well, where it's just H/N, not Harry/Harem):

If you want, you could paint Draco Malfoy as actually being a powerful enough wizard that Harry chooses to convert Draco (using Draco instead of Malfoy to avoid confusion with Narcissa) to his side rather than kill him...advantages of having a loyal (an unbreakable vow in exchange for Draco's life?), powerful subordinate, and all that. But the problem is that Draco is with Snape, and with Snape being a powerful, skilled wizard as seen in HBP, it'll be ridiculously hard to capture Draco and leave.

Now, Harry doesn't come up with the idea to recruit Draco himself.

After HBP: Lets say Harry takes a few months off, just slums around Diagon Alley, and one night gets drunk just for the hell of it. Some shady guy at the Leaky Cauldron takes him to a bar in Knocturn Alley, and while drunk, NoInhibitions!Harry is introduced to the Dark Arts. The man who introduces him can just be some profiteering dude, trying to get Harry - who's name he knows because Harry drunkenly states it, and doesn't care as he doesn't want to be involved in the war - to buy some contraband merchandise from him that he was unable to sell because of the dark times or whatever.

Harry, now slightly high off some illicit magical drug, drunk on Firewhisky (actually, try and make up some new alcohol, there are enough stories with Firewhisky!Harry to make me gag), and feeling the Dark Magic burn deliciously within his body, buys the contraband...make the contraband whatever you want, from Dark Arts books to a Time Turner (hopefully not, cliches are drawn in to this plot device and will probably ruin a story) to something ridiculous, like a Friend Glass (presumed opposite to a Foe Glass, and people don't want it as its not only a dark artifact, but also that they'd rather buy Foe Glasses when they're threatened with a random attack on their homes).

So, here begins Harry's descent into Darkness, as overused as the term is. Now, enter Narcissa Malfoy, widow of Lucius (who was terminated by Voldemort after being forced to hand over all his money, etc), is on the run from Voldemort, and is simultaneously trying to save her son, but doesn't know how to get to him.

The three months of summer have passed, and Harry can't be fucked to return to Hogwarts...he's seen what life outside school can offer him, and doesn't want to deal with the bullshit at Hogwarts, and the inevitable bullshit that Scrimgeour will try to get Harry to be the poster boy for the Ministry. Harry, with his new 'friend' (who will conveniently die to give Harry less things to attach himself to) who keeps perverting the boy into going further and further into the Dark Arts books that the 'friend' has such easy access to, is now practicing and learning the Dark Arts every single day, at the level where he has become addicted, not to the Dark Arts themselves, but to the sensation, the burn that he feels when he uses them. After losing so many people he cared for (Dumbledore must be Light!LovingGrandfather!Dumbledore), he aches for being able to feel something, because he's been feeling so out of it that he didn't shed a single tear (insert slightly emo!Harry, but no cutting >_<). So he uses the Dark Arts, both with the intention of learning spells that he will inevitably have to use against Voldemort, and to get that addictive burn in his magic that feels so good to him.

So, enter Narcissa Malfoy. She's disguised, scouring Knocturn Alley for her son, or at least a clue about where Draco and Snape are. She comes across Harry, but doesn't know who he is, as his 'friend' has taught him the benefits of disguising himself, considering the magic he's using and who he is. Harry, having learnt enough Occumency from Dumbledore to make sure that Voldemort can't possess/read his mind, but not enough to prevent the visions, knows where Draco is, having seen enough visions of the kid being tortured for failing to complete his mission/whatever. He immediately knows who Narcissa is, as its pretty obvious to someone who went to school with Draco that no one else would care to find Draco/rescue him) He, like any red blooded male, sees that Narcissa is smoking hot, and feeling cocky due to alcohol/drugs/Dark Magic, tells her that he will help her as long as she gives him a good few fucks (in exactly those words ;)).

She agrees, however reluctantly, and Harry has the time of his life fucking her senseless. Feeling even more cocky, he dangles her son's location/whereabouts/health in front of Narcissa like bait, and uses her love for her son against her by forcing her to stick around and fuck him whenever he feels like it. To that effect, he uses her in every which way, and even finagles an Unbreakable Vow of allegiance from her (by this point she knows who he is, as he has had to reveal himself to prove that his Pensieve memories of Draco's torture, etc, are real). She, in turn, forces a promise out of him to try his hardest to save Draco, and sweetens the deal for him once she figures out his "Dark Agenda" by saying that Draco is actually a magically powerful wizard, and will make a loyal second-in-command/subordinate if she counsels Draco into making an Unbreakable Vow of Allegiance to Harry.

Harry accepts, since he's got nothing to lose. He wants to toture and kill Snape anyways, not because of Dumbledore's death, as the Dark Magic has his emotional attachments entirely ignored now, but just because he hates Snape with a passion. Of course, to stand a chance against Snape, and knowing that Snape wouldn't kill Draco as it'd be completely pointless to do so, Harry has to become a good dueler.

Enter Narcissa Malfoy again...she's an excellent duelist, and is well versed in spells used in combat, if not in Dark Magic itself. If she does know Dark Magic, it'd have to be relatively minor, as she still has to be sane enough to continue to care about Draco. She begins teaching him after Harry makes the Vow in return, and after some prodding, he gets her to start using Dark Magic as much as he does.

Eventually he gets good enough that with Narcissa he should be able to take Snape (and he's been fucking her silly the whole time ;)), and they go and attack Snape, having learnt his location from the visions. In the course of the battle, Snape dies, but out of spite, casts a last-second Avada Kedavra at Draco, who dies too.

Now, you've got Harry and Narcissa together, and Harry's vow is now void, as he couldn't possibly have helped the fact that Draco died. Narcissa's vow, though, binds her to him in allegiance, and he can continue to use her for his physical needs, as well as continue to learn from her in terms of practical and theoretical magic.

Hope I helped, this is something that seems like an extremely appealing intro to a driven-crazy-by-Dark-Magic!Harry. Good luck, again, and I think the Drunk!Harry would fit in with your 'Alcohol in England' questions.

Do you even need to ask?

    DAPHNE GREENGRASS FTW! ;)

And so will your story be if that is the chosen pairing.

HP/OC. You can choose amongst any of the OC, including Daphne. Oh, and I am not completly opposed to HEUR but she woudln't fit into the description of your fic.

Yarrgh you truely are a briliant man. That has given me much to think about.

As for the pairing, i'm still not sure, Daphne would be cool, but the fact is, how to get them together, after all Harry is not going to go back to Hogwarts and the chances of him meeting her outside of it.....

Harry/Dpahne Greengrass or Harry/Slytherin OC is probably the best.
