I feel like it's better to have a main thread for all things MCU instead of making new threads for all movies and TV shows, or news.

In any case, here's something new for you all to consider:

RUMOR: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Will See Steve Rogers Drop The Captain America Mantle & Suit-Up As Nomad

    https://www.comicbookmovie.com/avengers/avengers_infinity_war/rumor-avengers-infinity-war-will-see-steve-rogers-drop-the-captain-america-mantle-suit-up-as-nomad-a152527

    http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/films/829946/Avengers-Infinity-War-Captain-America-Nomad-Steve-Rogers

Now, that is either worrisome or awesome, depending on your view on the matter.

One one hand, it's understandable why Rogers would be disappointed in the government enough to drop the Captain America title, but on the other hand he's Captain America, it's weird for him not to be.

(and if there ever comes a point in the movies when he utters the words "Heil Hydra" I'll be very sad)

Would honestly rather have new threads each time. Easier to avoid spoilers.

Unless it's a montage of Thanos messing with the time and reality using the Infinity Stones. Then we could have Hydra Cap along with the likes of Future Imperfect Hulk, Old Thor, Superior Iron Man and others.

I wish they'd end the MCU with this last Avengers movie. I know they'll try to milk this cow until it's withered and dead, but the fatigue has already set in hard and it'd be better to end on a high note.

A common theory among fans now is that Iron-Man is going to die in Infinity War, because RDJ eventually wants to quit.

If he dies, who will succeed him as Iron-Man?

They are already saying that A4 is the end of this version of MCU with no Phase 4 following. That said, despite the contracts of the main Avengers being finished, the only who may be hard to convince to return is probably Chris Evans. The rest will be there as long as the films keep their usual quality and the checks have enough zeros on them. Though that's just my impression.

Since this is general thread, my general opinion about MCU. While it had it's better parts and worse parts, the only thing that Marvel really dropped the ball is the lack of female superheroes. And it's not even problem of the representation that everyone is complaining about, but a simple matter of a variety of the characters in the ensemble films including Civil War and not including Infinity War because of its inclusion of the Guardians who are the only property without this problem.

In hindsight they should introduce one more female in A1 and A2 each. The problem is that while Marvel has dozens super women worth of their own film, most are from X-Men franchise.

Only two that aren't included in their plans are Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk, but they already have normal Hulk and Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman, but fans would riot if she got to be in MCU before Spider-Man.

    Thor: Ragnarok Official Trailer.

Well, it's not Infinity War trailer, but can't say it does disappoint. Maybe Thor will finally get a film that's going to be everyone's favourite though in my opinion the first one was really good already and only the second one was mediocre at best.

On the female supers, I thought there's going to be a Captain Marvel film, no?

Trailer is badass. I really want this to be the cool Thor movie. The first one was okay, but nothing amazing. Dark World is imo one of the weakest MCU entries. Thor just seems to work better in an ensemble. He's putting together "Thor's Avengers" in Ragnarok (it's what the trailer shows), so I hope for a good fun romp, but I am predicting that Hulk and Loki will probably steal the show.

My biggest complaint regarding the MCU is their awful grey color grading. Everything looks like fucking concrete. DCEU has produced two shit movies, one boring one and one decent one, but at least their reds are red, blacks are black, blues are blue and greens are green.

Yes, there will be. I was talking about the previous films.

As for Captain Marvel, recent info says it's going to be placed in 90-ties with younger, but played by Samuel L. Jackson nonetheless, Nick Fury before he lost his eye.

The enemies will be Skrulls and given they will have 20+ years after it to plan it, I wouldn't be surprised if this film is a setup for Avengers 4: Secret Invasion.

Though my earlier prediction for a subtitle of the 4th film is Secret Wars with all powerful Thanos replacing Beyonder in it.

I thought since they were switching from the ARRI Alexa to the Red 8k they would improve it; I guess its just too much to ask for a blockbuster movie to but any color correction.

Man that Thor trailer looks amazing. I really wanted to like Thor and Thor:TDW as much as the other MCU movies but never quite managed to, but this one looks proper entertaining.

That said, that weird 80s(?) vibe they had going through the trailer was a bit weird, did anyone else feel like that was out of place?

Recently everyone is going for 80s in their films and TV shows for some reason. Whether it fits Thor is an open question though I like this Heavy Metal (magazine) s-f setting that they're going for with how they're presenting Sakaar.

I'm very intrigued by the Skrulls being the villains. I was under the impression that they were tied up in the Fantastic Four rights, but it appears it's only certain named Skrulls, not the species as a whole.

I'm also curious - if excited - about the 90s setting. Part of the point of the first Avengers film, as I understood it, was SHIELD first experimenting with alien tech due to their concerns over people like Thor. If they were already aware of the Skrulls and Captain Marvel...still, while I haven't always liked all the plot decisions they've made in the MCU, they've been pretty good about avoiding plot holes like that, so I'm sure there'll be a reasonable explanation (or I've just missed something, of course).

That's been blocked. Disney is trying its best to block all leaked videos of the Infinity War teaser trailer. I watched it before it was banned though, and I've gotta say it looks awesome.

The new thor looks a lot better after this trailer. Disney is killing the Leaked Infinity war trailer faster than people can post them. That sucks
