Looking forward to a game with you, Newcomb. Proph and Eido each said good things.

Just a few things, post bears QT skim.

I tried to make it clear to the mod that my posting situation was iffy but that if they thought me being in that limbo was better than reducing the game to 9 players or whatever the alternative, I would play. The mod never indicated to me that my activity level was insufficient, and there being 11 alive did give town an extra lynch. There wasn't a day during Day phase where I didn't spend at least an hour and forty minutes on this game, and there were days that I spent 4+ hours on my phone writing up cases, which was hell. I barely posted in my QTs whatsoever until N3/D4 precisely because I felt that would be unfair way to split my time. I'm a very slow writer in mafia, particularly when I have to lie, but I hope you respect that I /tried/ to give town a good game to solve.

You did good, Delphine. It's our fault for not opening our minds up to additional possibilities.
You posted better than several towns.
Not gonna say that not having internet didn't help a bit, but what you posted did most of the work. Good job, truly.

This game was difficult for me because EOD would come at the absolute worst time for me. 6 EST is like right when my classes are finishing, and it's hard for me to be around.

That being said, Im not entirely sure why Fable ignored his perfectly reasonable "scum Miner wouldn't defend two easy mislynch".

I'd say that when it comes to my scum play, the thing that should be considered most carefully is who and how I push, rather than post content or mindset.

There's a lot of things I could've done better. At least Jari can claim he's still perfect at reading me.

GG and massive thanks to Vira for hosting + flavor.

Oh and one final thing, I knew there was something fishy about Delphine living until toDay.

There wasn't actually anything fishy about Delphine living to today. The only thing that might have happened is Jan and Fonti switching nights, but that's just a bear's opinion

I for the life of me couldn't figure out why saying we shouldn't snap vote in lylo somehow made me lock wolf to you and you never really explained it and I was kinda stuck on you for that reason along with me pretty much never thinking delphine was a wolf here.

Like that's kinda a problem I've had the past two games now where people have two approaches to me of either bite my head off or ignore me entirely. Just talking to me normally does wonders.

Er yeah, don't disagree that it led to me being more townread than I would otherwise. Just tl;dr I was trying to help game health by playing, I'm sorry it was a bit awkward to solve, and I hated it too in a different way.

I actively didn't want to kill Jan N1 from when I got my role PM to break the pattern. The amount of tinfoiling from town on him trying to spew himself made me want to keep with that.

    You just...

You do this thing where you make people really don't want to talk to you if said people call you scum.

I mean you kind of tunneled me all game and never actually directed any posts at me? So that might happen if you never try in the first place.

You called him mafia for it, dude. He overreacted sure, but you started that fight.

I don't really know why people read delphine town post Day 2? I think it was a reaction to the apparent honesty in her posts, which was definitely there, but it was honesty from a scum perspective is most cases, if that makes sense. The way she expressed her feelings about lunches at times felt like she was guilty about what she knew would be a mislynch. I think her effort was impressive with the time she had, but that the focus of that effort (i.e. the long pairing work in lylo) was not something particularly useful and that should have been recognized. She also was able to avoid intensive thought about the rest of the game with her GH tunnel, which was a decent strategy.

I think miner's thought process was very easy to follow, even if much of it was overly paranoid and contradictory, but that's usually a town thing. I appreciated his willingness reevaluated as people flipped town and I think his initial thought process at the start of pull of "why aren't these people dead?" was a great starting point. His issues mostly revolved around tunneling, getting overly paranoid about small things, and not explaining that paranoia as well as he could have.

Rubicon having the second most posts of the people usually means he's scum. I think various people also recognized his pushes as fake, but it was never all brought together.

In lylo situations, where town has been on the wrong track the whole game, I find it most helpful to step back and see who is still trying to solve and who isn't. I think that would have at least caught Rubicon here. I may have gone for Fable off of that logic, and would suggest to him that thinking in pull around teams instead of thinking about the scummiest person often ends badly.

In general, I think the main issue this game was a meta clash between fluff and miner (who Jan and I could see as town) and Asmo and GH (who played objectively towny, but couldn't use any meta defense) and this ultimately resulted in three of them being lynched. Asmo played well, both in projecting town and getting close to the right conclusion.

I think the GH lynch was probably the worst one, as he was putting significant effort into solving, but I understand the paranoia that led to it.

I think had you been willing to engage his push on Rubicon at all, you may have lynched correctly that Day.

I didn't though? I thought it was bad idea to snap vote but at no point did I ever assign it as villagery or wolfy, miner did that on his own and I never got why.

As for rubicon I mean him pushing rubicon and then switching over to me kind of happened all at once so there never was a chance to do that. I think the second that miner decided I was a wolf for telling him not to snap vote communication broke down instantly on both our ends.

Oh, and Asmo (and Jan, you do this too): No one should be off limits for logic, especially in lylo. Care about how many people townread someone when you are making an eod day vote, but you should never censor yourself because you have an opinion against the consensus.
    --- Post automerged ---
You responded to him saying you were pushing him with:
Instead if clarifying. It sounded like you were trying to support a scumread for him for that vote, hence his vote swap. Then you sent all in on tunneling him, confirming his suspicions.

He definitely jumped too early, but you could have clarified that you weren't calling him scum for the vote and asked him why he voted Rubicon.
    --- Post automerged ---
And instead of trying to defuse after that, you said:
You see why this led to a death tunnel between you two?

It is 100% my fault for not clarifying absolutely but I was completely neutral on miner snap voting, I just didn't want it done in general. What I did wolf read miner for was his reaction to my saying it because it seemed out of nowhere and seemed like a disproportionate reaction to the post I made.

It was just a case of miscommunication I guess.

Rock solid job by Rubicon and especially Delphine on a very well-earned victory (on a site that I believe has a generally townsided meta too!).

Game was enjoyable for me, if a bit frustrating at points for obvious reasons. :p Really like a few people's playstyles here and I think I'll join a couple more games here and there if you'll have me.
