Until people wise up and stop switching back. I dunno, that deck just doesn't seem long-term viable, but I could be wrong I suppose.

You have to, I imagine. Having a fatigue Warrior deck just loses vs 1m discovers unless the board already there is just insane.

Btw, minions buffs on Kingsbane DO stick. Well, at least Greenskin does. GREENSKIN OP. I'm running Corsair too, gonna see if that buff sticks. It should.

So far it's nothing but secret mages, Tempo Rogues and Big priest on the ladder for me.

They should have just released the xpac on reset so I we don't get stuck with all the tryhards while trying out new decks.

Certainly a possibility, I suppose. I'm gonna laugh when people start running a Geist of their own and keep it in their opening hands vs warriors to shit all over that deck though.

Weird. I'm facing almost exclusively Hunters with a touch of Burn Mage. Thinking of throwing in Eater of Secrets instead of Faldorei Strider...

What counts as a burn mage? Because when I'm thinking of secrets mage it's the one that runs 4/3 and 5/5 that interact with secrets and the fireballs/pyro.

But the wast majority seems to be Big Priest 7/12 games so far.

Yeah, burn mage is basically Secret Mage with Aluneth and Explosive Runes...

I did face one Big Priest that totally fucked my weapon Rogue (got the nuts with Statues and rezzes). I basically removed FoK to put in Saps and one Vilespine to deal with it. I've not really needed FoK in any matchup for anything other than cycle so far. Especially without Thalnos. Weapon Pirate Rogue seems faster than most things other than Secret Burn Mage with the nuts.

Man, there’s so many ridiculously strong decks right now. Draw into your win condition and there’s really not much the other guy can do.

Decided to join the dark side and play some Big Priest.

I think I drove a couple of hunters to drink. You can't really beat 3 turns in a row where your opponent plays Lich King, Y'Shaarj, Statue and a 5/5. Diamond Spell-stone FTW.

Also why the hell are so many people trying spell hunter? Wasn't it pretty much decided that it needs a bunch more cards to work?

Secret Mage is legit busted. I don't actually know how you fucking lose if you draw the nuts - or even just the 4/3 and explosive runes...

This is how people must have felt with Quest Rogue. I still stand by that that deck was only T3 at best. Secret Mage is Tier S busted.
    --- Post automerged ---
It may still do. No one is playing proper T1 decks other than Secret Mage on ladder for me. I imagine either Hunters (who haven't had a lot to be happy about lately let's be fair) will show not even 'Pros' know wtf they're talking about, or they'll get tired of getting mullered by proper T1 decks.

Yes but that is the one deck that was singled out as being bad idea right now.

I just think it's net decking gone wrong. People don't know what to play so they play the only thing they have heard of.

My haul from close to 60 packs: Rhok'Delar (free), Woecleaver, Runespear, Skull of Man'ari, Temporus, golden Val'anyr.

Not the best. I have 4k (+golden Moorabi I opened a few days back) in dust for any crafting shenanigans, but I'm going to head over into the Arena for a few days first.

The reason it's so popular is because everyone hates it. It's a reactionary "No, fuck you, I'm gonna play it."

And, uh.. it has a good winrate. The sites recording card usage and such are registering spell hunter at around 63% at the moment.

Slightly unrelated, but there was a Critical Role one shot featuring a Hearthstone setting. Players were Jennifer Hale, Liam O'brien, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham and Taliesin Jaffe, with the DM being Matt Mercer. Liam is the voice of Illidan Stormrage and Laura is the voice of Jaina Proudmore, so there's that.

More importantly, Travis is the voice of Reno Jackson.

This morning I've been ranking up in Wild using a recruit paladin deck variation. Call to Arms and Level Up are great tools (for now) in this deck. And it's quite satisfying getting the Val'anyr deathrattle to land on a Shielded Minibot.

And Mercer is the voice of Aluneth, the K&C miniatures and the trailer, and IIRC Ragnaros and Nefarian as well. Plus probably a heap of unmentioned others.

Opened a total of 50 packs and got 2 legendaries. The druid one and the 9 mana recruit. I also got the shaman weapon. So pretty much a waste of time.
