    As the title says.
I'm not sure any story every made it into our library, but I'll check presently to backup if needed. Personally, I read my fair share of H/G Post-HBP there ... a decade ago. Funny to see the stories still all there, somehow. It's like going back in time.

I wonder how they hold up, tbh. Leaving aside that it's all the typical romance/adventure mix, the quick glance I had just now surprised me with legible, coherent summaries that didn't look like a retarded monkey wrote them -- which is what you get a lot on FF.net. I might just save those stories I remember, and try to re-read them.

If anyone has any H/G recommendations, feel free to throw them out here as well.

There are several people on the Reddit that have made archives of the site and posted them. I remember I first read Harry Potter and the Solidaus Charm there, but I can't remember what else I might have followed there. Used to have bookmarks for everywhere but I lost them all.

I think Summer after the War and Winters after the War originated there? The only ones I remember really.

I think hpff.com is where I started out before moving to ffnet, so smol feels at this announcement.

I first started my fanfic experience there. Lots of post Hogwarts Harry/Ginny stuff. I read a ton of them, but they all kind of became interchangeable. I started to get frustrated by their terrible tagging system so I started using FFN more and more, and then once I realized that all the stories I actually liked from HPFF were on FFN, I stopped really having a reason to go back there at all. That's probably not 100% true of every story I read, and some of those stories I liked were WIP that I'm kind of curious how they finished all these years later, but honestly, I'm not really going to miss that site. They did it to themselves by not adapting to their competition. They didn't just become a niche alternative, they simply became inferior.

While I can't say they were my favorite site to host any of my stories, the reviewers(once I could convince anyone to do so) were some of the best I've had. So I suppose they'll be missed. But I joined way late and missed all of the sentimentality.

Or someone we all know that's good at scraping site data could host it on our own ff site Patronus Charm. I know we're against plagerism but it could serve as an archive. Thoughts @Lord Ravenclaw

I'll contact them and see if they'd be willing to offer up a dump instead. Otherwise, I'll mirror the content and process it into an archive we can host.

Pretty sure AO3 has been hosting other people's content for a while. You just ask them and their bot will convert the stories on the site to AO3 stories.

    Think my progression went from:

Severitus hurt/comfort fics on mugglenet (lmao) -> Harry/Ginny post GoF fics on SIYE and Phoenix song -> fiction alley -> FFN -> DLP

So like someone said, small feels.

Started fiction with a fake copy of book 5 from a torrent, or maybe eDonkey/eMule. That opened up the world of Fanfiction to me, where I started at HPFanficiton using a dial up modem copying stories into MS Word and reading them on my own time later.

Moved onto fanfiction.net, saw DLP mentioned in somebodies profile, Nonjon or Shezza maybe.

Some sad feels to see it going away.

It's a fuck ton of content to just be gone regardless. Someone here had a portkey archive for a long time but I can't remember who it was.

That's correct, I copied what could be copied, except for reviews. It needs some post processing, but it's otherwise done.
