So, I've been looking for decks to counter the constant stream of odd/even paladins I've been matching up against, decided to try control warrior.

Absolutely brilliant. You've so many whirlwinds that they never get on board, and you just instantly win the second you play Garrosh.

As you can see, it works well against Spiteful Druid too. I did lose to shadder-shaman, but only after losing a 50/50 where Woecleaver pulled out acolyte instead of Grommash.

But yeah, Spire, Grommash and Rotface are great, synergistic win conditions for this deck.

I barely ever go up against Rogues and Hunters anymore so I can't really speak to those match-ups. I'd probably play odd-quest warrior if Paladins weren't so prevalent and there were more Hunters tbh, but this deck is super fun!

I’ll give it a whirl since I have all of these cards minus Rotface lying around anyway. Does it really need Rotface though? Cos it doesn’t look like it at first glance to me.

It's your only other threat other than Grommash that doesn't need some kind of setup, and unlike the other two, you always feel good just dropping it on the board if necessary. While not as synergistic, you can just put in a LK or Ysera too, I guess.

Yeah, I realised that while constructing the deck. I dont have the Sudden Genesises either so /shrug.

Playing a spiteful dragon priest with Keleseth and Lady in White now.

Haven’t lost yet. Haven’t played a pally yet either tho so the real test is yet to come.

As I type this I get wrecked by a tempo mage. Such is life.

You might be able to do odd, taunt warrior too. It's also strong. I prefer having warpath though personally.

Taunt warrior without Baku is strong, I think.

I know Kibler made a full on control warrior that was working well yesterday, if anyone wants to resurrect that old style of tank up.

I’ve swapped Chameleos and Stonehill Defender out for another Scalebane and a Mindbreaker, but this deck is really really strong. It beats Pally’s, it beats all Druid/Warrior decks and is strong against Cubelock and Face Hunter as well.

It can struggle with Tempo decks a bit, Mages moreso than Rogues, but it can beat even those if u can get a Duskbreaker off on curve. Midrange Hunter seems to be a bit of a bitch but I’ve yet to see enough of those to really judge it properly.

Edit: I’ve also dubbed the Keleseth/Lady combo ‘Royal Priest’. Upvote my deck on Hearthpwn to make it happen plz ^.^

The refined version of this has me sitting at rank 3 with a 63% win rate (29-17). Royal Priest has been getting outpaced by the spiteful druids around.

    2x Wild growth
    2x Wrath
    2x Ferocious howl
    Mukla

    2x Hoarding dragon

Ladder is filled with the most idiotic decks right now. Quest Rogue is back (and to those who like it, people also like Snarry. This is not an excuse for you), Divine Favour is still its complete and utter bullshit that it has always been (it is fun and interactive having a T3 draw 5 used against you because you didn't play anything that affected your hand size negatively), and then there is the current lack of badly statted 10 mana cards that kind of makes Spiteful even more powerful than before.

I'm fully expecting to see a 10 mana 5/5 w/ huge battlecry next expansion, tbh, and Divine Favour to finally get nerfed to 4 or 5 mana.

And to those who would decry me for playing control - there are various actual tempo decks that have a similar opening to what happened to me in the DF game, like T2 Book of Spectres / Fire Fly into Arcanologist or Glyph / most midrange Spiteful decks and even Baku Hunter who doesn't draw a 1-drop or does Fire Fly into hero power. I accept Quest Rogue is designed to beat control - this doesn't stop me from thinking it is a bullshit concept that should never have made it into the game on 5 mana, let alone the original. As for Spiteful... Same problem as Firelands Portal had, and that got a few low-stat 5 drops in the game come GGZ.

I opened Ashmore with the packs I got at the start. Not sure she fits in any of the kinds of decks I run though. :/ I only have 2k dust, and don't wanna waste it on random decks.

The only decks I can think of at this moment would be Control/Cube Warlock or a Rush Warrior deck. She might be good in Combo Priest that runs Lady and Felsour along with Muck Hunter for your lifesteal and rush.

You can make idiotic decks with almost every class right now though. I actually rather like the meta right now. Much diversity. Such wow.

I kinda hate the meta. Aggro paladin, cuberlock and spiteful decks everywhere, just like last season. There are a lot of decks, but most of it feels the same.

I've a feeling Cubelock will be nerfed. I'm not sure it'll be by nerfing cheated out Void Lords though.

Dunno why, but I feel like it'll be something more like moving Doomguard to the HoF.

At least that's what I'd do, but I think they've said they only want to rotate cards into HoF at the start of every year.

If they're gonna nerf cubelock, I expect it to be making Doomguard into a Rush minion, in all honesty.
