I expected the story to end in genocide, a cautionary tale of work and emotion without direction or talent.

The series would start and end in Death.

The last thing I expected Harry Potter to do was to join the aurors, coz he has the mastery of the elder wand and he had made it public knowledge too, right? In addition, I find it difficult to believe no one disarmed Malfoy since Dumbledore's death, surely they(Death Eaters) had been practicing? It would have been deliciously ironic if Tom had been right about the mastery of the Elder Wand but not for the right reasons.

Actually would like the above change, among others, if there were to be changes, but not likely, must leave the characters skip into the sunset, mustn't we?

Also, I heard that someone defeated Harry in the later books(I use the term lightly). Does that mean the mastery of the elder wand shifted?

I feel like this can be explained with the simple fact that the duel has to be deliberate. Dumbledore received the wand from Grindelwald because he challenged and then beat him. A practice duel seems to be pushing it.

Also, Harry told everyone he had the Elder Wand? Is that some Pottermore shit, I don't seem to remember that at all.

We talking skill of the author here or the skill of the wizard MC.

It was there in DH, when the two were circling around each other in the Great Hall just before the final battle.

No, unless you count what Draco did against Dumbledore as a deliberate duel (not on Dumbledore's part anyway, remember he looked surprised and stuff) . Also, it need not only be duels, I think you just have to remove a wand against their owner's will. This is backed by the fact that Antioch lost his wand and life to a thief while he was sleeping.

I feel Snape would have trained his godson(conjecture), but at the very least he would have lost his wand at least once during six months as he was a part of a side in a war(even if inactive).

I agree with you on the author being found insufficient.

PS:Also how do you do that postscript thing?

Not a deliberate duel as in a duel with formal trappings, but a deliberate contest between two foes; people who are enemies and are fighting for more than just 'practise'.

When Antioch lost his wand I doubt the poor sod even knew the identity of his murderer. I think you just have to remove any wand from an owner against their will. Those wand ownership rules were very sketchy...

Also, this is why Neville's and Ron's wands did not work very well for them I think...

    They are children books, mate...
But go read Michael Moorcock if you like the theme.

The Elder Wand is notoriously fickle. Ron and Neville's wands being hand me downs was a factor in their not working well for their wielders, because the average wand does not change hands quite as easily as the Deathstick. You'll note though that none of the duelling clubs at Hogwarts ever made issue of a witch or wizard being disarmed and losing their connection to their wand.

The part at the end of your post, "John Wayne Teeth blah balh"

To prevent this from being a shitpost, another change I would have liked to see would have been more factions, maybe from the continent or across the pond?

I think it is the influence of "The Havoc Side of the Force".

Thats a signature. You can do that by clicking your username on the title bar, and then going to signature preferences and setting it up there. The rest is just formatting.

Another faction would have diluted entirely the whole Us v them dynamic that JK built with the Order and the Death Eaters.
