So double pump is back... and I hate it. I don't understand why Epic allows it to persist. It basically give the pump shotgun no downsides, and it also makes other guns irrelevant. Double shotguns in general is stupid. I hope they eventually limit you to one.

 

Double pumps is fine - it just means the game is balanced around avoiding melee (if you're bad at shotgun combat) and getting the jump on people via superior movement and building (if you're good at double tapping).

Also, if you run double pump then you only have 3 free slots, for 4 important capabilities one of which you will have to forgo - mid-range FAMAS/SCAR/AR, or long-range sniper, or mini/shields or heals. And of course, you give up on shit like the ghillie suit and jetpacks, and while the former is gimmicky the latter is crucial for safe single-build rushing + winning late-game end-circle fights where people are building up like cocaine-addicted beavers.

 

Just got back into battle royale.

Idk what happened in the past few months but everyone got worse at aiming and way better at building. Jesus.

 

Yeah the skill curve has gotten so steep now. I've been hovering around a 3.0 KDR for about 1-2 weeks and sometimes I just get stomped by people.

Double pump isn't fine. They took it out originally for a reason. Jetpacks are gone now, I don't know why you'd use a LT item as defense. I'm not complaining cause I can't do it. I'm complaining because when you're using it you know its freaking gimmicky. There was a reason the pump had a lower fire right.

And now double heavy is a thing, which is also awful. At least now the heavy has a reason to be purple and gold, but still. Double shotguns is stupid and prioritizes spamming instead of aiming.

 

Honestly with the shotgun nerfs it ain't that bad. Like you'd actually have to be in their faces for it to be super effective at which point it comes down to RNG with the shotguns anyways.

 

New seasons out. I'm into the new map but the Kratos themed skin looks shitty and the Drift skins make me think of some AU Naruto fanfic from like 8 years ago.

They took out double pump though!

 

Now, I wouldn't mind them bringing double pump back. This new DMG is insane.
