Does anyone know the exact content that comes with the game?

    I know there is...
    1) Knights of the Nine
    2) The Shivering Isle

What I need to know is whether the downloadable content is available with this edition of the game, such as the horse armor, Wizard's Tower, etc.

    Does anyone know?

I don't have the GOTY edition because I got the expansions separately, but Knights of the Nine came with all the downloadable "official mods", which are mods sold for a profit, really.

Since the GOTY edition comes with Knights of the Nine, I'd think that it comes with the lot as well. If it doesn't, you can always download them ;)

Btw, I've got the PC version.

I got the Xbox 360 version. My laptop is made of FAIL, so I cannot play it there.

Just before you posted Helius, I found out that GotY has all the downloadable content previous to The Fighter's Stronghold. How does that DLC play?

I can say for certain that the PC GotY edition does NOT come with all or even most of the DLC included. It only comes with the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isle modules. All of the other fruit (wizard tower, orrery, et al.) that came free with the official Knights expansion pack is NOT included in the GotY edition.

So, if you buy the GotY, you will still have to buy Wizards tower, Orrery, et al separately. I believe this holds true for the 360. It is definitely the case for the PC version. Bethesda released a bullshit explanation that too many official mods would confuse noobs at the start of the game (true, but only if the DLC modules are added by default to the list of mods that auto-load). I bought the PC GotY thinking it'd have most of the DLC releases included. It didn't.

It was still a very worthy purchase.

Actually, I need to get around to finishing Oblivion. I have to fix my game installation and save files. Too many mods of varying quality eventually fucked up my game with strange bugs, performance issues, and forever messed-up save files. It's a good thing I backed up several times!

    Yak.

The GotY doesn't come with the extras? The cheap bastards!

I would have thought that the version of the Knights of the Nine in the GotY would be the same as the standalone.

Well, pretty much like Thieves Den and Wizard's Tower. It's a kickass home/castle for the sword and shield types, with stuff geared towards melee characters, like buffs and NPCs that do your bidding. Basically a free home that you can upgrade.

I am playing the 360 GotY Oblivion game right now - it has no DLC besides KotN and SI.

I never really could figure out why it was rated M anyway. I mean theres nothing really that bad in the game from what I can remember.

Someone made a topless PC mod, so the retards bumped up the PC and Xbox ratings to M. Idiots.

SmileOfTheKill: You gotta fix your sig.

Attributes go to GLaDOS (or perhaps Jonathan Coulton, pref. GLaDOS) for that one. As a cookie, heres a link to Jon Coulton and GLaDOS singing "I'm Alive" in duet. Pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyLw2nGCtD8

I think the game was forcibly reclassified after someone made a mod that allowed you to remove all of the clothes of the female characters. Goddamn that ridiculous Hot Coffee precedent!

True, it does go to GLaDOS but Portal is much simpler to write and have people know what I am talking about.

I thought it was the dead tortured bodies hanging on hooks in Oblivion.

You underestimate the glory and renown of GLaDOS! Criminal.

I will eat your cake for this.
