I would suggest to add Pure Dresden and Crossovers as Categories. The section is rather small for now and being a category besides the usual ones will put it in the spotlight without disrupting the usual Harry Potter bastion of quality fanfiction.

I'd like to a see a Dresden section, but would it be really worth it? Dresden is a hard fandom to write in, as evident by the number and quality of existing Dresden fics (The Archive is a bloody trashbin)... so would it really be worth it?

I think that adding dresden to PC would be wonderful. maybe switch up the url so that it's dresden.patronuscharm.net, add a link to the main site and bingo. Keep the archives separate but other then that make searching it pretty easy.

I think it will be worth it. PC will be the only place for quality Dresden Files fics just like Harry Potter. With a little quality control PC will be the best fanfiction site for Harry Potter and Dresden Files fanfiction. The good quality will no doubt attract some traffic, especially since Dresden Files is becoming pretty popular now and is a fresh fandom to work in. Not to mention there are like another 13 books coming out.....damn, I'll be in my 30s when the series finishes if he goes with the 1 book a year formula >_>'

Also, no offense to DLP, but I think a lot of people who would like to read the great Dresden fics here don't because they don't want to come to this forum, especially if they are coming from the Potter fandom and know of DLPs rep. If there is a fanfiction website dedicated to Dresden Files then you will get a lot more people involved.

If you use a tagging system, don't forget to add the hp/df tag. Hate looking for crossovers on FFN.

Not only is there already a tagging system, but users add their own tags. :p

doesn't allowing users to make there own tags make it a lot more messy? You could get up having 100 different variations of tags for one category.

    'HP/DF' 'HarryPotter/Dresden', 'HPDF', 'HP-DF' etc etc

Maybe, but I guess the system depends on a certain level of intelligence expected of members, who can take a look at the already-used tags and use them.

Which is why there's the "Common Tags" feature, to hopefully steer away this kind of messiness.

I don't see the problem with tags either, just have the links pointing the the "categories" of Potter, Crossover, and Dresden, while it actually just points to a result in which the tag is used.

Oh, and no one has any idea of where the fandom is going to concentrate because it comes from no where. You can't expect a fandom to come of something because what it is based off is good. It kind of seems like the opposite.

Nothing special to add other than my meager vote of 'Yes' to the original question.
