No don't skip anything, the guy took the time to write each chapter at least take the time to read it. But damn these fics are so long, I must say I am tempted to just flash through them.

This is also my first star wars fanfic got any other recommendations?

Rofl I don't have to read anything if it's not up to standard.

This is my favourite star wars fic ever (not just fanfic, though being better than most of the EU novels is pretty easy), I wouldn't skip anything if you paid me.

Though, having said that, I can see how someone who liked it but didn't love it might find the some sections tedious, particularly recent. The quality of the writing hasn't fallen but the pacing is slightly off. Though perhaps it's just more noticeable because the first book and a half had already been finished when I (and I assume most of the people here) started reading it, whereas the recent stuff has involved waiting for updates.

First of all, I didn't mean to trigger such a hostile reaction. Frankly, I'm not completely sure how I did...

Secondly, I did read, and came to the conclusion I did for a reason: the author has a lot more to talk about, namely how Luke will implement his changes. Thus, I put forward my opinion that the story may go a while longer. I could very well be wrong.

Currently reading the first part. So far, this is the way Fanfiction should be written.

I'll come back with more when I've finished the trilogy.

After reading the first story, I dropped the series because Luke turned. That was a mistake. Finally biting the bullet, I read the third entry and all I can say is - damn. Epic, one of the best Star Wars fics I've read in a long time.

I haven't read the second story, so I'll hold off on rating the series as a whole until I have, but the first and third together rate a solid 4.5/5 from me. Given that the author is EU-literate (which is something that is important to me), what with Mara Jade and ysalamiri making an appearance, I'm hoping that my favorite Star Wars character of all (Grand Admiral Thrawn) will make an appearance, though I suppose it's possible that he appeared in the second story.

Okay, so Madine survived, I missed that on my first read through so the story may not really end very soon, but still it felt to me after the defeat of Madine, rescue of Luke and proving the loyalties of D'Arca all that's left is for Luke to find out about Mara keeping the drug from him.Reforms can be handled like before, just after he killed Palpatine, mentioned but not elaborated upon. Unless the author wants to bring in some new problems I cansee him ending the series soon- in the next ten chapters soon. As long as he starts putting out those stories he showed on his website I don't mind.

@lucis; was a crappy day I'm sorry I guess I just took your reply to be sarcastic so, I apologize.

Updated. The way various factions interacted with Luke's return was interesting...

    Updated; finished.

I think the ending was well exectured, though I hoped the author would continue a little longer...

@BlackMage: np, you were right, btw.

How stupid do I feel now for retracting my statement? Oh well maybe now he'll post some of those awesome stories from his website.

This trilogy was superb. It's main flaw - and it's not even really a flaw, it's more a difference in taste - is that the drama:action ratio is heavily skewed towards drama. That didn't stop me from being unable to put it down it until the wee hours of the morning on a couple of occasions. My performance at work just might have been affected by this fanfiction. It is that good. This fic must've been incredibly frustrating for people who started it before it was finished. I'm lucky that I only discovered it here once it was done.

I don't really know the Star Wars "Expanded Universe" but after a while I was curious about some of the major events and characters that the author was populating his story with. A few quick googles later and I was convinced that Blank101 knew his stuff. He's obviously not writing this one off the cuff. It's meticulously detailed and planned.

Strangely enough I wasn't surprised to read in Blank101's ff.net bio that he is a professional writer of some description. "I write Star Wars fiction for fun. Everything else I charge by the word, which I suspect is why my stories are so long..." If this is his creative outlet, then may Blank101's work day remain boring, unfulfilling, and unfun. Amen.

Sorry for bringing up such an old topic, but I think blank101 is starting up a new story. His webpage has a new link, but I'm not sure how long ago it went up. It's definitely more recent than 2 months ago, though, since that was the last time I checked.

I mean, he hasn't posted a single chapter yet, but he's pretty timely about this stuff and I just wanted to give a head's up.

(I think its the second story that's been on his upcoming stories page since...forever ago.)

    I love his writing, I can't wait =D

This is an interesting story, somehow I missed it. I really like it.

The only thing I don't... is how easily Luke is manipulated in the first arc (so far anyway, I haven't finished the first arc yet). I mean really, does he have to act so cluelessly to Palp's obvious attempts to charm him? Anyone should be able to see through his manipulations, at least from Luke's stand point.

From just reading the blurb it looks like it's going to be one of the Luke is discovered on Tatooine and raised by the Sith fics. While it's been proved that he can do a great Dark!Luke, I think I'll pass on it, there was too much angst in the first two fics and it progressed too slow.
