For those of you who don't know (all 5 of you), Steam is well known for having absolutely awesome sales for games. Like 95% off sales is regular.

Well until the 29th, they're having the "give and get" sales, which just really means that they're cutting the prices on a bunch of games and offering them in packs (which is why I was giving away copies of HL:2 earlier.)

Anyway, check it out if you haven't. They've currently got The Orange Box (HL:2, episodes 1 & 2, portal, and Team Fortress 2) for $7.50. I'm tempted to buy it and I already own HL:2.

Mount & Blade: Warband is likewise $7.50. Great game. And the Orange Box was a fantastic deal at fifty bucks, at a handful of pocket change it's obscenely good value. Grab it.

Orange Box for the 360 sells for 12.88£ from amazon.co.uk for a long time, 10.67£ for PC and these aren't special cheap offers for online licenses. 14-17£ is the normal price level there after 6-12 months for premium games.

I bought Audiosurf for $5 because it was part of the sales. Just a couple days later, it was part of the sales again as part of the indie pulse pack.

    Which was $5. =|

Still though, these sales are awesome and I have no fucking self control. :D

    Pretty :awesome.
There's also a wishlist thing going on, 30 people/day are getting the top 5 in their wishlist. All that's needed is a steam account. :awesome:awesome:awesome:awesome:awesome

I got the HL2/CSS pack back when it was $60. :shrugs:
I meant to get the $20 TF2/GMod bundle, but Portal rocks too.

    DLP TF2 here I come.

Any DLP members interested in chipping in to get the current Osmos game pack? The game is individually $10, but they're offering 12 copies for $20. I'm going to get it one way or another, but if even 2 more of you want to contribute towards the 12-pack we'd get a savings. More people interested = more savings of course.

What we could do is find somebody we can trust isn't going to steal our money (so not a lurker like me, basically) then send him an equal portion of $20. He'd buy the 12 pack, send one to each of us, then could distribute the rest to whomever.

I bought a copy of Warband, but apparently there's some snafu with the registration keys at the moment.

I really want to play too >.<. Have been waiting for the price to go down before I decided to buy the game.

I might be interested, I suppose. Looks a lot like Flow for PS3, and I liked that a lot for some reason.

I've also done the steam thing for other people too. (Jon and Murton, and I think maybe INBN...) so yeahh.. ¯\(o_º)/¯

I wouldn't have a problem tossing in a few bucks, depending on how the cash is transferred (paypal?). I've never actually played the game, but looks like fun.

I picked up L4D2 and World of Goo, too, although I already had The Orange Box from a previous sale. Good stuff. My problem right now is that I have several games acquired from Steam sales that I haven't gotten around to playing, and they just languish because I thought they were awesome deals. Perhaps I can put in some time over winter break? But then there will be another great sale around that time, too...this is a never-ending cycle.

I bought over 10 games during this sale, although I'm ticked off at myself for not just buying Borderlands (it wasn't for 5 bucks so I didn't just buy on impulse). I was able to get KOTOR, though, and that was on my wishlist, so I'm happy.

I bought 2 of the indie game packs and in one of them I got the game VVVVVV. Any one played it? It's a short little platformer, but its rather difficult. I also got this game called The Polynomial, which is like Rez, but trippy-er.

You should have picked up the Indie Story pack while it was on sale. Recettear is actually really fucking good.

I got L4D2 for free, cos my bro had MW2 on DVD and was one of the ones VAC banned because his version didn't have the same hash as the steam version.
In response Valve gave all of the people affected 2 copies of L4D2... so I got my Bro's spare :D

Check out Steam on the weekends, there is a sale on each and every - without fail.
    Good value.

Picked up the 2D Indie pack. VVVVVV looks pretty awesome. :3

    ---------- Post automerged 22-12-2010 at 18:23 ---------- Previous post was 21-12-2010 at 22:50 ----------

VVVVVV is awesome. Amazing simple and fun little platformer. Super Laser Racer and Bullet Candy are also really fun timesinks. The Indie 2D pack was definitely worth the pittance I paid for it. Hoping we get a few more epic deals. :3

Recettear is on sale for $6.80 right now, so if you missed it as part of the Thanksgiving Indie Story Pack, you should look into it.
