Bungie announce their new game named Destiny. A type of MMOFPS. The game sounds awesome. Though I have no idea if they will be able to deliver it. PC version is not confirmed. :|

Yeah, this has been getting too much hype. Apparently, they have over 300 devs working on this, which is a LOT of people.

Oh, and they said "Stay Tuned" for PC version.

Destiny definitely looks interesting, especially the social aspect. Bungee is one of the few developers that you can trust to do something amazing and innovative with a new IP. Though I won't get excited until I see a confirmed PC version. I just hope the lack of info on it is because they aren't doing a shitty console port for PC.

This looks pretty awesome. It kinda reminds me of GGO from sword arts online. I don't usually play fps games, but I think I'll keep an eye on this one.

It looks like Bungie might give Microsoft and it's playerbase the shaft this gen, for once.

I'm not sure how I feel about that, honestly. I kind of want the new Xbox, because I'm hoping I'll be able to port everything from my old one onto it, and keep playing next gen games with my friends. On the other hand, the PS4 superficially looks really good right now, and we know nothing of the next-gen Xbox.

If Destiny turns out to be mostly a Playstation game, that might go a ways towards convincing me to switch companies for my main console in the upcoming generation.

I'll hold off on judgement, though. The PS3 looked really good when it was being developed, too, but it turned out to be terrible if only by virtue of the fact that hardly anyone could program for it. Whether or not the PS4 learned from it's predecessor's mistakes remains to be seen. We have to try and remember that, for both the next gen and for the games that will launch it, all we're seeing is hype, and hype makes everything look amazing.

Destiny got a panel at GDC 2013 and they've released some new stuff [link, link]. Little in the way of new gameplay details, but they revealed a bit more about the world they're building for it, which has me excited nonetheless. I'm getting a similar feeling from it as I did from Mass Effect when it was first announced, though hopefully Bungie can deliver on their game better without the, uh, complications Mass Effect encountered as it went on.

Games been out for awhile now, and I've been playing and enjoying it. The latest expansion definitely added some more content, which Destiny is sorely lacking. Other than that lack it's alot of fun. Crucible, the PvP part, is like Halo with superpowers. If anyone is on PS3 hit me up to play CaptainReven is my PSN.

I've actually had the game for a while now, but I've yet to really play it. I don't have the PS4 with me at the moment anyway. I've heard some shitty things about it, but I figure I'll play it myself and get my own opinion on it.

I'd be up for a few rounds in the crucible or doing some raids with DLP people.

I got the game when it first came out, grinded to level 29, did the first raid, ran out of content, and stopped playing. I've heard there's been a lot of changes since then, but I can't be bothered.

I keep checking back in and there really isn't. Not for me anyway (especially since pvp is the absolute last thing I want from a game like this).

Content means something a lot different in a loot driven game though. They could do a lot worse than taking several pages from Diablo3's book.

Each class has so many badass/ fun abilities that synergize countless ways with each other that getting bored is virtually a non-issue, and even when you do, you just roll another class and the game plays completely differently.

Destiny has mechanics down really well though. It plays fantastically. I'm hoping 2.0 (whatever form that takes) addresses my issues.

...and adds dogfighting... Every game is made better with dogfighting. :D

Go on. Read the next sentence and the rest of the post.

They can add all the modes they want, that's not the biggest problem with the game. It's shallow.

PoE is basically like greater rifts right? Where they get harder every level?

That works really well in Diablo (you can solo in d3 though...), but you're still missing the key thing. Depth and customisation in the classes and so much loot that it actually takes time and investment to get whatever the theorycrafters call 'BiS', with several other item sets competing and complimenting different builds.

They have the basics down really, really well. They've not addressed my biggest issues though... Especially when d3 is on the same console and scratching the itch I wanted Destiny to.

I've a feeling 2.0 might be something special though. Hopefully. Maybe not.

I'm sure everyone has their own gripes with the game, but I played it for around 50-80 hours and just stopped one day. Can't even remember why, but something happened and it was very much a straw that broke the camel's back moment.

Ill just assume you haven't actually played any PoE levels.

I make it a habit of not buying DLC for games I find profoundly disappointing, especially when my issues with it remain the same.

    Just checking.

Playing dozens of hours of a game, in which the problems I've had and still have with it are yet to be addressed, isn't enough to allow me to comment?

    Really?

My apologies. I'll defer to your superior opinion.
