Poll closed. Anyone who is interested, the goal is a Penelope Clearwater story to be uploaded March 15.

Happy New Year, DLP. May we continue our rule at the top of the HP fandom for another year.

Given the generous time frame, I have an idea for this one. Jotted down a quick 800 words as soon as I saw the thread, actually. One of those ideas that grips like a vice, with a squirt of lemon juice, and won't let go until you climax, you know.

How do we go about story feedback? Post in WbA, even given the mild plagiarism troubles?

I think, perhaps, a group would be best. With membership limited to participants only. We post there for feedback among ourselves.

Group sounds like the best way to go. That way we can have a clear idea on who actually intends to participate and as the time approaches, help out whoever is lagging behind.

Group is good. If one does not exist when I get home I'll make it.

I have already coined the name 'Vlad's Penelope Bombing Party'.

Until the next run where it'a a different pairing and that name ceases to make sense.

Until the next run when the members are probably different so a new group will be needed regardless?

Less concerned about group name, more concerned that at group's commencement will be having to compete with something Joe "just jotted."

DLP , home of the first 500k Harry/Penelope epic across the eons.

My entry will be somewhat less ambitious. I've a decent start (~1k words of notes, about twice that in first-draft prose; the target is 10-15k words).

Remind me, and I'll do a reading of one of the entries and stick it up on the web. Maximum hype must be achieved!

Heh. It's already creeping past the one-shot territory.

Did we get our feedback group? I'd do it, but I'm on phone in a car heading to the whory part of London.

The group is Bombing Run One: Potter Purloins Penelope, Perfidious Percy Petulant. Because of the delicate nature of this event, invite only: pm me for invite. This is for participants only - those who want to just view will have to wait till March.

While I missed the deadline on this (by the better part of a year--holy necro, Batman!), I thought I'd drop a link to this story since it was inspired by this thread.

Perhaps for this next year we might consider choosing an obscure pairing as a theme for the year?
