I've been wanting to do this for a while and figured, to hell with it, might as well make a thread and gauge the interest in doing some sort of roleplaying game campaign over skype.

It should be said I'm a complete scrub at DnD and roleplaying in general. ^^

Which game we'd end up playing is totally open. Personally I'm kinda fond of Vampire:The Masquerade.

Dresden? Or is the theme still tentative?

    I'd be game.

I've also been wanting to play some proper FRP for a long time ever since my game group split up. If it's not a minmax game I would like to join as well.

Don't have much experience with DnD, but I know the basics and would be down to play.

I would be intertested, depending on the form of play - forum or voice communicators or RPG sites like Roll20?

I would be interested. Haven't played in longer than I care to admit to, but if you need someone to round out a group I'm in.

If you'd be cool with a complete newbie then I'd be interested to play.

I'm down, but also pretty scrubby (I've played 4 times?). Have only done Dresden, and DnD 5.0.

Same as Rep, complete newbie, but a D&D game is something I've wanted to do for a little while. Just know literally no-one who would be able to Dungeon master.

Do we know what type of format? Play by post, or some sort of program?

I've always wanted to try out Dresden, but I've never a convenient place to play DnD in general, let alone a somewhat obscure system.

I'm potentially interested, although as with others, I've only played one session of the Dresden RPG and nothing else.

I'd be interested in playing, but like many people above, I've never played before.

I'm going to pass for reasons of there being too many newbies aboard this train (and it doesn't need one more), but I would like to mention my hope that someone chronicles your misadventures if this ends up being done through calls rather than text.

Nice to see so much interest. The way I hear it's generally good to keep the group between 4-6 and the DM. I guess we can just set up several groups or something if it comes to that.

For the one I was thinking about, it'd be via skype in real time and with some sort of tool to make the dice rolls.

I do like the Dresden Files world but I've also heard the game is... Kinda meh. I suppose which game would be something the group would have discuss and come up with. Or rather, whatever the DM knows and wants to do.

Do we have any DMs around? I could give it a shot myself if nobody else fancies it but I haven't actually tried my hand at it before.

I have experience as Dungeon Master in D&D 5E and ASOIAF-RPG. I am not interested in running either Dresden or World of Darkness. I can DM Powered by Apocalypse; never done it before, but I've played such game with enembee before so I'm confident I can adjust and do the DMing aspect of them. I'm actually interested in Stars Without Number which is the game we are currently playing, and the setting and world building seems really interesting from a DM perspective.

I'm available on Sundays at pretty much anytime, and I will probably be available during the days come January.

Discord is better than skype for that on all point. Less white noise, can adjust volume of everyone, mute them, etc. I'm familiar with Roll20 so that would be definitely the place where I would run the game for rolling dice and such.

I GM'ed a couple of times for Call of Cthulhu/DELTA GREEN for my friends. I've never GM'ed online, but I can try my hand at it - if anyone is interested in a Cthulhu game that is.

I'm currently experimanting with Discord for cummunication and Orokos dice roller for all the rolls needed in the game.

If we're picking games this one has my vote. It can be super fun.

But wasn't it super hard on GM's? Like having to play it on your own between the turns.

I'd definitely be down for a Cthulhu game. :)

Enembee is currently DMing one for us, and speaking with him it seems actually pretty fun. Between turns is actually every in-game month so it's not between every session. I think it makes things easier, because you don't have to come up with everything by yourself; the factions have actions and stats which lets you make the world feel alive without burning yourself out as a DM trying to create everything.

I'd be really interested in running a game of this sort, so anyone who's interested can hit me up.

(I can also DM 5E, but I might want to try a published adventure such as Curse of Strahd if anyone is interested, let me know.)

    System: Stars Without Number

    DM: Hawkin
    Time: Sunday (Time TBD)
    Players: 6 MAX
    Platforms: Discord & Roll20

System: D&D 5E (Curse of Strahd - Horror, Storm King's Thunder - High Fantasy)
    DM: Hawkin
