I've been casually playing softcore this league. My interest in PoE continues to dwindle with the ever increasing power creep, but I still enjoy playing a new character with every League.

I've had some pretty ridiculous luck on exalt drops this league (two in the first day, got my third today) so I've had the luxury trying some pretty expensive builds, but my waning interest means they're all pretty incomplete aside from the bare minimum.

My highest level is a Golemancer, which is absolutely ridiculous. I'm running 10 jewels: 1 Anima Stone, 1 Primordial Might and 8 Primordial Harmony with 4 Flame Golems and 1 Stone Golem. +320% Golem Damage is absolutely busted. Easily the strongest summoner build at the moment. Possibly ever.

My other main project is potentially one of the strongest builds I've ever played, but I'm too lazy to get it in working order. Technically, it is an Oro's Flicker Strike Slayer, but the real build is all about abusing Eye of Innocence, Reckless Defense and Avenger's Flasks (+3 Flask Charges when you take a critical strike.) Long story short, when I Ignite a target I take 100 Fire Damage, which will crit me 50% of the time. This basically turns me into Pathfinder 2.0. The crits taken from mobs will be mitigated by various means and isn't an issue. With 100% uptime defensive flasks, stun immunity, 50% Life Regen per second and 8000+ Life, he should be pretty much indestructible if I ever get around to finishing it.

Aside from that, I've also got a Skeleton Summoner on the back burner (I have to play one every league due to a gypsy curse) and a Vaal Ice Nova Assassin that is going to be my main source of currency now. Long story short, I can easily manage 250,000,000 exp per hour with it and I'll level about 10 Empower gems at once. Should net me about 200-300 chaos per hour of time played in the end, depending on market prices. Because why not.

Ripped recently 91 lvl Facebreaker AW at Necropolis map (was 1st time at that boss). Can Shield Charge bypass Frost Wall by the way or I frantically clicked in vain?

Now in plans is ED Occultist. Fuck 6,8 HP pool, I need at least 12-14k ES now :)

I've literally never had more than like 5,000 life on any build I've ever done, even when trying to stack it. It's equal parts amusing and discouraging to see someone pooh-pooh nearly 7,000 like it's some sort of peasant shit (which it quite possibly is, a testament to how much my gear sucks).

As for me, I tried both a Righteous Fire Totem Chieftain and a Firestorm Elementalist in Breach. Both bombed pretty hard come mapping time, and I'm not in the mood to build anything else right now. If I play again anytime soon it'll likely be back to Standard where I at least have something resembling decent gear to use.

When I'm doing Life build on HC, I have a minimum of 200% increased life on skill tree. Then each rare item must have +70 life at least. But on Softcore you can go full DPS and have more fun doing it.

And I know people who say that life characters are unplayable without Kaom and 9k life...

Currently doing a Queen's Escape Summoner on Standard at the moment, probably going to switch over to Mon'tregul's once I get to 68. I wish I had access to all the Essences of Fear that I'd stockpiled in Breach so I could craft some minion speed jewelry to use, but that'll have to wait until the league ends. Or until I find some on Standard.

Just play Breach :3 Standard sucks.

Also, my RNG has been absurd today. Dropped Reach of the Council from Pale Court -> 6s it (admittedly in like 600 jewellers) -> 6L within 40 fuses -> sell, Buy another Reach for personal use. Get bored, want to try and 6L atleast that or a 800ES Regalia I have -> buy fuses -> proceed to 6L BOTH in 150 fuses.

Yeah, tried last league to 6 link Disfavour - 900 fuses down the drain, no luck..I am scared doing it again on regalia this league, maybe it is better to simply buy 6 link? But prices are ridiculous. And now today I have run out of chromes without colouring armour correctly. My RNG sucks. 5 link for me it is then..

I play purely self-found as a rule. Not having any gear sucks, and I sometimes like not having to deal with that. I have and at some point will go back to playing on Breach, but not right this second.

Fair enough. I can't pretend to understand the self-found route, for me trading is such a huge part of this game, but I can respect it, and I imagine it's quite a bit more rewarding to get that drop you need.

I've been bouncing around edgy garbage builds this league because I'm tired of seeing Tornado Shot and Lightning Arrow in my characters list.
Started with a Volley Fire Voltaxic Barrage ranger from last season's build of the weak, then dumped a bunch of Regrets to respec into dual Dreamfeather Chaos Blade Flurry.

Ditched that one to roll a Blade Vortex Obliteration Berzerker, and even though they patched over the broken poison double dipping, it's one of the most enjoyable characters I've played in a while.

I've accumulated a decent amount of wealth, both in raw currency and gear like a 6L Cospri's, but I don't feel like spending that much to buy the incremental upgrades and big ticket flasks to push towards T16s and Shaper.

    Life builds, lul.

I'm playing dual-totem Ancestral Warchief, and it's going alright. Just getting to mapping now, and I officially need more chaos resistance. I too only play self-found until they make a real auction system in this game (seriously? how hard is it?), so it's a bit of a chore, but I'm cruising otherwise. I'm dreading the point that I hit the wall I know is coming eventually with this.

If you're going to do this build, it's probably better to do it as a triple totem Scion using her Hierophant Ascendency node. I guess you're already committed though.

Yeah, bit late now. I'd been gone a while from the game and just followed a good-looking guide that said it was ultra-low budget but still kicked ass. Working swimmingly so far.

I really like Lightning in these type of games, so I think I'll whip up an Arc or Ball Lightning witch next. Looks pretty cool.

I'm running a Marauders Berserker Warchief build myself. I don't actually think a third totem is necessary at all with how much Berserker buffs your damage.

Also being able to spam warcry (Enduring Cry and Rallying Call) for 25% life and 25% mana instant regen is amazing along with the endurance charges and damage bonus they each give.

I'm enjoying it so far. We'll see if it holds up in late game, but Tier 10 rare maps are a breeze so far.

They are bringing Path of Exile to the Xbox One. Announcement Post

I wonder if it will be popular on Xbox, hopefully it won't cause GGG to collapse.

So PoE is getting a very surprising Xbox port... not sure how to think about that, and how it will affect the PC version. Seems like a risk for GGG, but I imagine they really want to grow and see this as a good avenue to do it, following D3. Wrt Breach I've done 36 challenges and got more GG gear than I can count so I'm pretty much done for this league, seeing as its exam time soon. Ill pick PoE up again for next league, which will probably be a shorter one before 3.0 is ready.

So... Anyone still banging away at this? Funny to look back on the last pages of this and see it was still Breach league then. Hilarious.

PoE takes up most of my gaming time lately, I feel like I understand the game a bit better now, but I'm just kinda shit at it anyway. Must be old-guy syndrome or something. The new league is pretty damned fun, and the skill changes from the last update have made a lot of abilities pretty viable, and a few of them just horrendously, "I-can't-believe-this-isn't-nerfed-yet" overpowered. Looking at you, Shimmeron Arc traps. Going to try and build a party-friendly character next to see what that's like. Great fun, and a pretty cool bunch of devs.

Enjoying this game this much really makes me angry at Blizzard for the travesty they made out of Diablo 3. :(
