    Ignoring Threads:
This was a much requested feature from the DLP Uservoice, so thanks to all who suggested it.

You now have an option to hide offending threads, rendering them invisible as you browse. You'll still get notifications if you're quoted or mentioned within the thread, but it'll never again turn up to plague you in thread displays.
    How to Use:
    Ignoring Threads:

To ignore a thread, click the dropdown box called Thread Tools (found at the top of any thread), and click 'Ignore this Thread'.

    Restoring Threads:

If you want to remove a thread from your ignore list, or would like to simply marvel at how many theads you're ignoring, head on over to your User CP and you'll find the options for Ignored Threads under Settings & Options. Click 'Stop Ignoring This Thread' to see it again.

    Oh man, that is amazing.

I'm gonna go test this now, so I guess no need to answer, but I'm hoping that this also works for those who browse using the "New Posts" function.

Thank for continuing to improve the forum. Here I thought we'd already hit the top.

    Ok, that's pretty awesome.

Is it possible to ignore entire subforums, though? I'd love to ignore little Italy and the Naruto subforum if possible.

(Yes yes, I know, no matter what you do, it's never good enough :p)

    No more anime threads!

DLP forum is best forum on Interwebz. This is a hard fact.

No, but you've given me a better idea: the ability to customise what turns up for you in 'New Posts'.

I'll have a think about that one.

I think Reddit does a pretty good job of that with it's filtering system. Perhaps an idea can be taken from that.

    Bring back the introductions subforum?

Jokes aside, I'd like a theme that plays well on mobile.

If you want to suggest stuff and not have it be lost to the gormless void, stick it in the DLP Uservoice. You'll find a link to said uservoice at the bottom of every page under Idea? Feedback?

Perhaps I missed it, but any chance to simply ignore an entire forum section, or subforum(as per your quote showing Little Italy earlier in this thread)?

Drome simply had a thread ignored, and if it's the most recent updated it shows that message.

If you browse by new post, you can at least ignore the current game/sign-up thread in Little Italy to cut back on the flooding.

(It also lets me get rid of anime, league of legends, and some politics threads, so, I approve of this feature)

It's good to know I won't be the only person using this feature expressly for that purposed.

Bump. Is this still an option with the new forum?

Or, at least, an ability to remove threads/forums from 'What's New'? I'm pretty sure I have Little Italy ignored, but I can't figure out how to do that for another thread.

I've made a script to unofficially add these features again.

    Steps to make it work:
    1. Install the extension Tampermonkey for either Firefox or Chrome. (Greasemonkey would require some extra finagling.)
    2. Once installed, click on the Tampermonkey icon.
    3. Click on the "Dashboard" icon.
    4. Click on the "+" icon/button on in the top middle.
    5. Copy the contents of this file.
    6. Paste the contents of that file into the Tampermonkey editor.
    7. Save the script by pressing CTRL+S or by clicking File > Save.
    8. The script editor closes automatically, and now you're taken back to the dashboard with a new script named DLP Ignore++.
    9. Once you surf to DLP, the Tampermonkey icon will have an additional red "1", meaning the script is running.
    10. Enjoy.
How the ignoring users feature works:
    1. On any post, next to the "Report" button, there is now an additional "ignore" button.
    2. If you press that button, the page should reload and any post by that user should have disappeared.
    3. You are now free to enjoy the DLP forums without that user.
    4. If you accidentally ignore a user, at the top of the thread's page, next to the "Watch this thread" button, there is an option to show the page with the ignored posts. Click that, and the ignored users' posts show up again. The users aren't unignored, but as long as that button is toggled their posts will show up.
    5. Click the "unignore" button where the "ignore" button was previously and the user will be removed from the script's list of ignored users.
    6. Users are ignored both on the threads and the profile posts page.
    7. Threads of ignored users are not automatically ignored. Mostly because I've ignored Arthellion but don't want to miss out on the Funny Pics thread sometimes.
How the ignoring threads feature works:
    1. On any list of threads - the page for a subforum or the New Posts page - there is now an additional button per thread to ignore the thread.
    2. Click it and the page will reload, at which point the offending thread will no longer be shown.
    3. You are now free to continue browsing.
    4. If you accidentally ignore a thread, or wish to see the threads you've ignored, then there is a new button next to the "Watch forum" button that allows you to show the ignored threads too. As long as that toggle is on, hidden threads will still show up, but they will still count as ignored.
    5. Click on the "unignore" button where the "ignore" button was previously, and the thread will be removed from the script's list of ignored threads.
How this works on phones or other browsers:
    Dunno, haven't gotten that far.

    What if there's bugs?
Tell me (in this thread or by PM) and I'll try and fix them. I don't have any official update mechanism but I'll keep the script linked in this post updated to the most recent version.
"Update v1.1: fixed a bug that 'ignored' all PMs" at the end
