    I have no doubts that Jodie has the acting chops but I am still a bit concerned. I'll admit I haven't seen everything that she's in but in the selected things I have seen her act her characters always come off as annoying/infuriating.Well acted, but not my favorite kind of characters (I only really liked her in Broadchurch until season 3). Still, the Doctor's never been miscasted so I hope everything turns up well, she has the chops after all. Does this mean we'll have a male companion...

    An angry Capaldi is what I expect from the finale. It was a pretty good episode. I don't want to say I felt it rushed but, well, I guess it went by pretty fast. As someone already said, this is a three parter. Anyone got a Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere vibe besides the obvious Diagonal Alley vibe? [SPOILER]

    While it was better than the first, I wasn't really feeling the episode. Then, Capaldi's speech hit and it changed my perspective. Great acting, I could feel the tears on Capaldi's voice.

    Didn't really like the episode. I can appreciate the production values, ideas and the actors' performances though. I agree with Shinysavage , the immortality scenes were the best of the episode. Hope that Maisie returns, as is rumored, or perhaps an appearance of Captain Jack in future seasons. Also, I saw the YouTube preview for the next episode and the hype is real. The zygon thing from the 50th anniversary is finally being addressed. Wished it had been with Matt Smith but I'll take it.

    Just saw the preview and it looks good. Those trailers on the YouTube channel set the episodes quite nicely. Still, I hope she appears beyond that (depending on the outcome of next week's episode). Would love her as a reoccurring character like Jack. Hell, I want to see Jack again! The Doctor really needs a male companion.

    Not a big fan of the episode. The first 30 minutes hinted at a light hearted story just for it to change at the last 10. It wasn't bad, just weird. Like what they seem to be setting up with Maisie's character, really hope she stays or appears on future episodes. There were some pretty good lines throughout the episode. I quite liked the Doctor's line regarding immortality. Also, I wished they did more callbacks to precious seasons like they did this episode.

    Say what you want about the episode but The Fisher King is definitely one of the best looking recent monsters. I quite liked this two parter but I think there were a couple of weak spots on it. The whole romance felt a little bit forced for me and a twist was obvious since the beginning fo the episode. Still, pretty good story. On another note, not against the sonic glasses but not in love with them. Capaldi playing the guitar and wearing the glasses on top of a tank on episode one will...

    Yesterday's episode was okay. As always, with two parters,the first episode is mostly spend on setting up the scene. That is not to say it was a bad episode, it set the tone and it felt refresing. I quite liked the setting and the cliffhanger was okay. Having two on going stories, one in the past and other in the present, may be difficult but it could be done right. Whitehouse's episodes are not of my liking but this could be the exception.     Apparently there is a spin-off on the works centered around Coal Hill students and written by Patrick Ness. I have never read anything he's written so I cannot ague on that point but I don't know how this could work. Sure, aliens invade Earth all the time but there are no foreseeable ways for some teenagers to fight them. I mean, Torchwood had Jack and The Sarah Jane Adventures had Sarah Jane and K-9. Unless Clara or someone not 'ordinary' is in the show I'd rather have a UNIT spin-off.

    Like Shinysavage said, the episodes work better as a pair. The moment between Davros and The Doctor would have been amazing had I not know who Davros is. A scene with the hero and his villain laughing together, at the moment of one's death, because of the things they have live through has always appealed to me. However, a twist was evident since the begging. Loved Missy's final interaction with The Doctor in the episode. Had it been followed throug it would have been an amazingly dark twist.
