“What are you doing?” Miner yelped, slamming himself against the inflatable door only to be bounced into the opposite wall, then off the floor into another wall. “I can’t die like this!”

“You will,” the pious one said smoothly, closing his bible. “Due to our confusion whether you are an adult or a minor, we have decided to child-proof your execution.”

The bouncy castle shook in in the wind, ropes straining against the anchors, and someone said wistfully, “I wish I could be executed this way.”

“No!” Miner pushed his head through the face-sized window. “I’m innocent! I’ve always been innocent!”

“That is to be determined. Undo the ropes.”

As the town surrounded the anchors and the wind blew stronger, Miner yelled, “Stop! This isn’t right… I… I want a new execution!”

“What type?”

“Uh… Fire?”

“And bore the town to sleep?”

“Fraying?”

The pious one narrowed their eyes. “This is a strictly PG-13 game. No article of clothing may come off. We must think of the children.”

“But you think I’M a child!”

“That is disputed.”

Miner’s fists pounded the bouncy castle, but only ended up batting himself in the face. He’d do anything to get out of here. “Then this is wrong... This execution isn’t right for me…”

“Why?”

Tears formed in Miner’s eyes.

“Because I’m an ADULT!”

The ropes loosened. As the wind blew the bouncy castle to its side, it tore an anchor from the ground and bashed a random bystander in the head. The bouncy castle rolled, Miner shouting from within, until the wind picked it up off the ground and into the air. It tumbled away like a dandelion seed, beauty in every turn until it was only a dot in the red-streaked sky.

Everyone waved it goodbye.

“Godspeed, Adult,” someone said. “Godspeed.”

When Vaimes didn’t show for the morning meeting, the town went looking for him and found him dead on the street in front of his apartment building, limbs torn and belly bursting open.

Someone looked up. “Did he jump?”

Another nudged Vaimes with his toe. “Impossible. He had to have been pushed.”

A passing old woman that looked suspiciously like Lungs said in old lady speak, “I saw that young man jump! Out the window, he did, with arms flailing. Hehe.”

“Suicide?”

Everyone looked at each other, and as one, went to Vaimes’ room on the thirteenth floor. Everything was immaculate, no signs of a struggle. A little snake in a cage watched them with scared eyes; it had yet to realize it was now an orphan. Someone followed a draft to the open window and looked out. The White House stood out in the DC skyline because apparently that’s where Vaimes lived and the White House was the only landmark that mattered.

“He must have jumped,” someone said, inspecting the window. “Look, there’s a shoe print on the sill. But how could this not be murder?”

“Maybe he was feeling the heat?” another replied.

“What heat? Vaimes is impossible to mislynch!

“Then why did he jump?”

Someone picked up an opened letter on the table. “Hey, it’s a clue.”

Everyone gathered around.

Well, I'm glad to see common sense prevailed over my personal idiocy.

Lynch: Regfan 1v1 me skrub

so yeah I drank the kool-aid pretty hard on this goddamn Fable paranoia thing and for some reason, AFTER calling Reg out for trying very hard to act conspicuously town, decided he was town for acting conspicuously town some more. Maybe because he acted conspicuously town AT me. To answer why he replaced me with Fable in lynch terms, probably either to ADD Fable to the mislynch pool (i.e. not so much a replacement) or because I was listening to him and therefore pocketed.

I'm honestly ashamed of myself :v. The only saving grace in that regard is that I was planning to run over Reg/Miner if blab flipped town, but if we'd ACTUALLY lynched blab we probably would have ended up running over Miner/me instead. Plus I got distracted by Reg pushing dC/blab and didn't notice that literally nobody else believed dC/blab was a thing, so an endgame scenario with town!blab was probably actually a lot worse. (That's another thing: Reg pushed dC/blab, I pushed Reg/Miner. Miner was scum. Hmmm...)

So. Fable scum is a paranoia world, Stanari scum is a paranoia world, Reg has been faking gamesolving behaviour all game and got mad yesterday when it wasn't giving him the townread he deserved, he took advantage of me being willing to listen to float dC/blab as a team which goaded me into voting for blab when I should have been ignoring him, and today he'll inevitably turn around on at least one of dC/Miner, Fable/Miner, and/or blab/Miner (with the intention of lynching through two of those possible Miner partners)

Making this worse is the bit where he just quietly voted blab after assessing that I'd probably follow him. Like, ew. There's potentially an argument that either of us could be a mislynch, but Reg's behaviour yesterday is pretty clearly setting me up as one. By contrast, if I wanted Reg as a mislynch by far my best course of action was to simply not engage him at all.

So I'm here to remind you that of those pairs, only dC/Miner has even really been seriously considered by anyone other than Reg. Thus one of us has to be the last scum, and it ain't me. Reg mentioned his scumplay is bussing allies who he doesn't feel are strong enough to come to endgame with him. Was Cobalt strong enough when Reg hopped on? Was Miner?

Also Reg/Miner yesterday was a crossbus. This was the only option available to scum who were the only two lynches of the day in order to try and avoid getting run over two days in a row. If they HADN'T targeted each other then the risk of the wrong one being lynched existed, and if they didn't bus at all they were just doomed. It's like Reg said, ironically: Reg/Miner team had a game plan to win, whereas Miner/Blab (another paranoia world) did not.

So in summary and conclusion, Reg can have a maximum of exactly ONE mislynch, and it's me. I do kinda deserve it for not sticking with my blab read and reversing it on his say-so. Definitely should have listened to pie. All the shit I said about Reg yesterday (him getting mad his town performance wasn't working, him bussing Cobalt, him bussing Miner) before I got hardcore pocketed still applies.

Also in retrospect Reg hardclearing me early on and then completely reversing it because "wait scum probably don't have daychat" is suspicious as hell. It's also possibly TMI, and even if not it's an awfully convenient excuse to spin on a dime on that read. Plus there's still this whole "Reg is into setup spec, and Cobalt's claim clearly makes use of setup spec" thing.

(I pre-typed this because I am mad. Mostly at myself :v)
