The pious one said, “Reg, you have been found guilty of murdering four people and a dog. We, the town left alive by your massacre, sentence you, the last remaining scum, to death. It is time for this period of darkness to end.”

Reg strained against the ropes. “This isn’t death, this is torture!”

The cross loomed large behind him. The town proved too queasy to actually nail him to the thing, so they substituted ropes dipped in holy water. One person hoped no one noticed the wood had been recycled from Font’s house after the daily ransack “Celebration of Life Ceremony.”

Someone leaned to their neighbour. “Is it lame we defaulted to crucifixion?”

“Last scum, best death,” they replied, though internally they longed for the dozen other executions methods they found on Wikipedia. Stoning had been a particular favorite, but the town was few in number and just doing two swings took the energy out of them.

“It’s what you deserve,” the pious one told Reg. “We shall stand for three days and three nights, as the sun cooks and the night wind blows.” When someone whimpered in the back that their feet already hurt, the pious one turned to them. “Do you not regret the deaths of your number? Murdered, slighted- this is justice for them and all people victimized by scum. Stand tall, my children. It is almost over.”

And the town stood tall.

Reg wept for a time, until he raised his head to the sky. Red burned low on the horizon and stars dotted the velvet black, glimpses into dimensions worlds away.

“I don’t want to die like this,” Reg said, voice rasping and throat dry. Someone had offered him Pepsi, but Reg refused because he was a Coke man to the bone. “You who knows me and has seen my struggle. Why must I suffer? Is this punishment?”

The pious one began a prayer, a prayer of endings and new beginnings, and the voices of the town rose up in song, one heart and one mind.

Reg raised his voice.

“Why do I deserve this kind of death over everyone else? What have I done? Please… Don’t let it end like this.

“You who know I am innocent…

“STRIKE ME DOWN!”

And a flash of lightning struck from the heavens, sending everyone to their knees. Fire burned from the base of the cross and rose higher, eating at the wood-

The wood cracked.

The cross fell.

After the town had quenched the fire (took two minutes), they crowded around the fallen cross. Reg was dead on his face, having been squished by the cross.

“Um, guys,” someone said, but they did not have to say anything.

No scum would die such a stupid death.

That night, someone woke with a start. They sat up in bed for a few minutes, rubbing their eyes. Was that a sound they heard. Someone… breaking in?

‘Oh no,’ this nameless and mysterious person thought with horror. ‘Because the flavor is focused on me, I’m the night kill!’

They dived to their closet and got out a golf club. Every day of their life, they’ve told people golf is a great game if only you’d try it. Until this night, they had yet to believe their words.

Golf was a great game. As long as no one was playing golf.

This person crept down their hallway and peered down the stairs. No one. The door was still locked. “Hello?” they called, hoping the last scum would reveal themselves, but nothing answered.

‘I’m gonna get jumpscared to death,’ they thought miserably.

They checked their entire house. Every room, every closet, even the attic which, against all horror clichés, was too small for a person to fit in. At the end, they scratched their head, feeling dumb for getting up for this.

Just as they were going back to bed, they caught a glimpse of red out the window. They paused and went out the back door, golf club raised.

There, in their garden, was the body of Pienyan. She had been dumped and drag marks in the grass suggested the last scum had dragged her this far before someone had called out and scared them away.

“Pienyan may be dead,” this person said aloud, “but at least scum didn’t get to dramatically pose her body.”

Then nodding gently to themselves, they went back to bed.

No more worries, no more fears.

This hero would live to see the Day.

I don't think ANY of you are wolves, so I'm throwing out all my own opinions. More to come on this.

Also it's MYLO, not LYLO. I 100% would not snapvote in LYLO because then it just gets quickhammered, and no sane townie is going to join my snapvote so it's not a problem.

I mean Reg was correct about pretty much nothing this game so dC now 180ing on me on the basis of Reg was a villager is kind of obvious and desperate.

 

I had a vote in mind before we came into day but now you're making me reconsider.

 

I mean...okay. The fact I said yesterday that Fable staying on me and not switching over to Reg further indicates Fable is town and then he swung the lynch onto Reg with an eleventh hour vote is kind of skeezy (like I said, I'm a way better final four person for scum to bring in than Reg is)

but other than that, I got nothin'. It's a quadruple hardbus, and it's not like anyone else is any better in that regard. I personally am throwing out everything except the last day or two because if I incorporate anything from before then you all show up as town which is clearly incorrect, but I don't expect anyone else to do that.

I guess I'd recommend you reread Reg's analysis posts (which are now confirmed to not be pointless waffle) and assess for yourself whether you think my scumplay here is "turbotunnel Reg so hard he townreads me at the last minute to open up a Fable mislynch at MYLO", then come to your own conclusions. Don't bother with behavioural analysis today because everyone's wincon is the same: "don't get lynched".

Also: If consensus is any one of us could be a wolf, then we should no lynch.

I'll answer questions and maybe yell at people for things I think are stupid and probably listen to people's arguments, but I don't think I have anything useful to contribute beyond "Reg said Fable is scum so Fable is probably scum". As evidenced by the rest of this fucking game.

PREVIEW EDIT: Literally anyone I vote for is a 180, Fable. So unless you're suggesting I just hang myself, I'm not sure what it is you think I'd do as town in this situation.

 

But I don't understand why you snapvote in either case?

Reevaluate the game rather than take advantage of reg's bad read on me? Like you chomping at the bit to vote me looks bad no matter how you break it down.

 

I haven't played 4-person MYLO before. I was under the impression that snapvoting was not frowned upon because hammer is 3 and not 2 and the scum can't quickhammer as a result.

As for WHY, because it's not like I have anything better to do. If I only consider recent evidence the thing with you swinging on to Reg is bad, and if I consider all evidence I don't have a vote target at all because you still all show up as town >_>

If it's violating MYLO protocol then I can unvote and replace it with like an FoS or something. (Pre-emptive Unvote)

PREVIEW EDIT: No, you don't get it. I DID re-evaluate the game, and you all re-evaluated as town. I mean sure I'll do it AGAIN, but there's a reason I came to those townreads in the first place. I'm clearly just wrong and stupid and unable to find the scum in this situation. Also this game is fucking long and I can't use the ISO script on my work laptop and I hate my life.

I dunno, I guess maybe I'll find something now that pie is dead.

 

Double checking stanari and blab anyway to make sure dC hasn't fucked everything up. Besides the miner stuff I don't think stanari repeatedly accuses cobalt of trying to pocket her if they're aligned.
