You're about to argue that scumchat were calling visor suburb and that slipped into my speech. I thought about it, and dismissed it already. I picked up the nickname from Vira in thread because it was an amusing way to deal with an annoyance.
    --- Post automerged ---
Oh. I didn't actually realize that miner post was a response to that.
    --- Post automerged ---
    That's probably bad.
    --- Post automerged ---
Further note, it took me awhile to pick up the suburb thing, and I initially referred to visor as yvtn:

Well, he actually doesn't quote anything so we don't really know.
    --- Post automerged ---
I think there is evidence that scumchat was calling him Suburb. Jury's still out on you though.

First use of Suburb as a nickname was in response to Vira asking me about him while using the nickname. Point disproved, moving on.
    --- Post automerged ---
Oh, I agree. It was something I was thinking about earlier and looked for, but didn't see anything.
    --- Post automerged ---
    Interesting things:
In addition to miner and vira using that exclusively. So yeah, it was a scumchat thing.

I picked it up past that Vira quote:
    So did Jan and SR:
    And, interestingly, so did dya:

No one else had a "this is funny" thing about the suburb stuff except for Stanari, but her's was in the moment.

Dya was also kind of prompted to use it.

That's like 1200 posts earlier though.

Yeah. Did you come up with a way to search her posts for all the other possible non-suburb visor names, because I'm coming up blank?
    --- Post automerged ---
    Humm.
    --- Post automerged ---
    That one was days later.
    --- Post automerged ---
Found these. Not sure what to make of them.

I'll do it by hand if need be.

I actually missed that one because it was buried in a wall lol. Thanks.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Deliriously chasing down linguistic slips is about all I can manage at the moment.

    Neither did Scott, AFAICR.

Also damn if that hasn't been my entire strategy for the day.

    Thread search "Suburb".

Scott stuck to YVTN. Dya never used Yvtn.

We just went over some/all of this but I spent a solid 30 minutes putting together this post so you get to read it again.

The bulk of references to "Suburb" in this game come from Vira. Excluding references that were of the form "who's this Suburb person", the following people referred to YVTN as Suburb:

    - Vira (many, many times)
    - Miner (a handful of times)
    - Fonti (slightly more than Miner)
    - Tsaiah (once)
    - Dyachei (once)
    - Jan (once)
    - myself (twice)

I can't find Dya referring to Street anywhere else although I used a fairly halfassed forum search and have yet to check her iso by hand. I can't find any other references in Tsaiah's iso, though that doesn't count for much since she was barely here. Jan calls Street by a bunch of other things so lol. Fonti, as has been mentioned, calls Street YVTN before eventually switching to Suburb.

Notably, Scott never calls him Suburb. This actually relates to the famous YVTN derp (which... also supports the mafia calling him Suburb in scumchat, lol).

    Also of note:
At the time of this post I think the people calling Visor "Suburb" were almost exclusively mafia (with the exception of me, briefly, and potentially Fonti).

So, as far as I can tell, Dya only referred to visor twice, and those consisted of one"suburb/visor" and one "suburb."
    --- Post automerged ---
Miner did it a lot more than a handful, iirc. Also, dya did it twice.

SR also did it a couple times.
    --- Post automerged ---
Oh, I should search for street, hang on.

Next time on Really Awful Linguistic Slips: everyone who's misspelled Tsaiah's name multiple times is town.
    --- Post automerged ---
I have four times for Miner, once or maybe twice for SR but it was explicitly asking about the nicknames themselves.
    --- Post automerged ---
Fixed the Dya thing though, oops.

Stanari, you're the only one who used street. So, congrats on being town, again.

    I'm not surprised, lol.

Though actually the fact that Suburb caught on and Street didn't might be scumchat shenanigans again.

    This is amazing.

Huh, you're right. I must have been looking at the repeat quotes of Miner's posts with Suburb in them.

Suburb is also just a better name than Street for a mafia, tbh.

Yes but then you have to say stuff like "I'm townreading Suburb" and everything devolves into puns on settlement times and everything is awful.
    --- Post automerged ---
    Types. Settlement types.

    I literally have no excuse.
