mind giving me a bit of insight as to why Waco/Shadow are never w/w? A couple of people had referred to it, but your thoughts seemed the strongest (e.g. "We’ll get info wrt Waco’s flip at some point, and that can clear Shadow.")

alright so as I understand the situation, we have Shadow/Waco/Jari who are in contention and all probable mislynchees if town
The decisions at the moment are:
- Lump Waco to check him
- If Waco is scum this clears Shadow, which helps with him
- Lynch Jarizok

Is that about right?

There are more opinions than actual cases going around at the moment.

Fonti and myself want to lump between shadow or waco and leave the other alone today.

People want to lynch Newcomb, which I disagree with (so does fonti).


And the "all probable mislynches if town" is maybe the worst wording I have seen today?!
Yes if they are town and we are lynching them then they are mislynches and they are probable because they are the people "in contention".

But that addendum just feels so wrong. Maybe wake up first?

 

I would be very unexcited by a jari lynch, but I wouldn't be arguing against it even if I had the time

I kinda see your point though. What it means is "any of them who are town were probably selected by scum as mislynches, and therefore I'm not super trusting of them being the ones in contention" (i.e. if I'm scum D1, this is the wagon formation I want)

A few more sentences on these would be good.

 

My case was never about his copypasta entrance, it was about his barely-there case on Jarizok that he's been using for easy pushing as well as his refusal to answer questions or adequately defend himself.

His wall feels like a necessary enormous amount of effort to throw off everyone who's leaning scum on him, rather than a genuine town effort. When someone like Newcomb who can normally be universally town read is under even a little bit of pressure from players who have him as a top scum read etc. I feel like he reacted in a way that he looked like he was trying to spew himself town instead of having genuine thought processes? I'm gonna have to go back and pick it apart but I don't have that much time in the rest of this phase.

And I don't wanna hear that "Newcomb doesn't talk about other people's scumreads on him" bullshit because it's a major fucking copout and I'm tired of hearing it. Part of playing the game as a townie is addressing relevant concerns against yourself. In fact he would've had an easier time convincing me he's town if he actually tried to talk to me about what I was thinking and why I was thinking it instead of literally ignoring me and then memeing a gif of someone drawing a dick in the snow. Like, COME ON. Does nobody understand why that's frustrating and gives me zero reason to believe he's town?

 

If you have time, I reckon you should go check this out for yourself. Like, it seems like you're basing a lot of your thoughts in this area without the first hand look? Plus Jan is right, there's a lot more opinions flying around now than just that one.

It's just the level to which Waco was pushing on Shadow combined with Shadow's read on him.

That, and Shadow mindmelded me about Waco multiple times so I have a strong feeling they're v/w and Shadow is villa.

v/v is (mildly?) possible but I don't think as teamed witches that Shadow pockets me specifically by mirroring my read on exactly his witch partner.

Especially because a lot of our mindmeld was also Shadow posting things that I did not, which is literally impossible to fake. It would be one thing if he made a post after me in every instance that echoed my thoughts, but it's the level to which he's posted things I haven't even posted but that I was thinking the entire time that make me so sure about that.

I mean, if Shadow winds up being a witch and Waco town, I'll be thoroughly impressed by the level of pocket because I find that kind of mindmeld immensely hard to fake as scum and I've never had a situation as a player where someone echoed me to that extent and wound up being scum.
