Just watched this movie last night/this morning. Extremely good, a fraction more serious than the first one. To anyone going to see it, just so you know, there is no End Credits Scene. There are a couple Mid-Credit ones but noen at the very end after the scrolling text.

All the character's were really well fleshed out and the bantering between Domino and Deadpool was quite fun to see. I would have liked to have seen some reference to Suicide Squad when
the rest of Wade's team died.
Also, I was surprised that there was no
    Stan Lee Cameo
but I didn't even notice that until just now. The
    X-Men Cameo
though was hillarious and it took me a second to see it. Some of the other guys were focused on the wrong part of the screen and completely missed it.

I was a bit disappointed with the final fight. It was just a (Very small) army of henchmen. Whereas in Deadpool 1 we got the Wade vs Francis fight where both opponents were seemingly evenly matched and it could have gone either way.

The Mid-Credits scenes though have got to be some of the funniest things I've ever seen. If nothing else, I'd watch it again just for them.

In the first 30 mins the movie felt a bit jumpy but then it steamrolled. I had a good time and overall think it's better than 1. Cable is bad-ass and they got his look just right.

His team was hilarious and felt like the certain scene from "The Other Guys". If you don't know it I'm sure it's on youtube. How they put Domino's skill on the screen was also extremely cool.

Well, the action sequences in the middle were the true highlights and the final fight scenes were less about Wade with the exception of his
    "extended" death scene:)

I think I can watch this multiple times without it getting stale like 1.[/spoiler]

I don't think I've laughed at a film so much in years.

More than that, I don't think I've heard an audience laugh at a film so much ever.

Packed with stupid, throw-away references, self-referential and self-deprecating humour, and a pretty tightly packed plot, they did incredibly well with this one.

I really might have to go see it again.

I just got back from watching it with the other half and some friends. It was a good film, but I don't think it was as good as the first one. That is, however, judging by the standards of Deadpool, which was fucking hilarious in every single way. This one was a tad more serious, as @Agent One said, but it didn't seem to hit the same beats that the original did. Some of the points I thought were trying a bit too hard to be funny.

The baby legs part was especially noteworthy for this, since it repeated the same joke three or four times.

Overall, I still rate it a 5/5. It's a fantastic film and really funny, but it doesn't quite hit the same high notes that Deadpool did.

    Dopinder mvp.

Relax with the spoiler tags. The thread is marked. Also, seriousness of the movie completely undermined by DP fixing Ness' death with time travel, lol.

Now DP can say he did it first when Avengers pt 2 comes out.

It was exactly what I expected it to be. Highlights were the X-men joke and the mid-credits scenes. I lost my shit when Deadpool let out out the skydiving scene play out just like before and Peter was the only one he bothered saving. Would have loved to see more of Negasonic, as I quite liked her in the first one. It seemed like a wasted opportunity but more than made up for it with Domino.

So, the first one was a Love story, the second one is about family, I'm willing to bet the third one will be about the bromance between Wade and Cable.

I laughed every time DP and Yukio just happily greeted each other. I have no idea why.

Also what probably got the biggest laugh out of me was getting Brad Pitt in for one second of screen time before killing him, rofl.

Watched it yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I do think that there's perhaps a case here of a film which was something of a pleasant surprise (at least to me) basically just doing more of the same in the sequel, and therefore not being quite as good, but I still really liked it.

Domino's lucky scene was incredible, probably the highlight for me in terms of the setpieces, not that any of them were bad. And I thought I was going to choke at the X-Force landing montage and Wade's wander through time.

I wasn't entirely convinced by the decision to kill Vanessa, but I guess that doesn't really matter now lol.

Speaking of this, I was really impressed that they kept this out of the trailers. Most movies would have revelaed that in the trailers and stylized the movie as a revenge comedy or something like that. I didn't really keep up much with the pre-movie chatter so I'm not sur eif many people online managed to guess that she was going to get killed.

I'm not sure or not if the time travel shenanigans are actually going to affect the next movie or not (I.E. If Vanessa is going to be alive in Deadpool 3) but I feel like they'll most likely just not talk about theevents of Deadpool 2.

From what I've read, the director has said that all of the mid-credits scenes are canon.

Freaking hilarious, only bad thing I can say about this is not enough Negasonic Teenage Warhead and her ridiculously chipper gf Yukio, their back and forth with Deadpool was funny as hell, but I guess they had enough straight man with Cable rolling his eyes at Deadpools wackyness all the time.

Felt like it went very quickly. Near the end of the movie I felt almost like we weren't watching for more than half an hour which would've been a good thing if I could actually remember any of the near on 2 hours it took to get there.

Still, it was a fun movie, a decent sequel to the original. The darker overall tone was handled okay, I feel, and the comedy was mostly on point. The death scene was just ... badly handled. I understand that it was a deconstruction and basically made fun of itself, but it wasn't funny or entertaining. Just boring and predictable. I just wanted that to be over.

Still, the ending was great and getting there was mostly fun. Collosus was great, the X-Men cameo was funny, the credit scenes were funny. It was a good Deadpool movie, though I might have perhaps expected something a bit more .... dunno. More.

Like a lot of sequels to surprise hits/dream projects, it does suffer a bit from not having the same bolt-from-the-blue quality of the original. A mostly faithful Deadpool adaptation was something fans had been dreaming about for years, and the closest we'd gotten was Mouth-Sewn-Shut Weapon XI Barakapool.

After all, going to any comic book movie outside the MCU inevitably involves a whole lot of "Oh god, I hope they didn't completely fuck up everything about the character." Especially someone like Deadpool who's so weird you know there were probably a couple executives sending confused studio notes. That's also probably part of why it had a very small budget for a superhero movie: $58 million (About 1/3 of what Fox spent on Fant4stic, for reference).

I just saw this movie and it was great except they killed Peter. I mean I know they said this one written by the people which killed John Wicks dog at the start but I didin't think they would kill another puppy Peter.

Thank god for After Credits scene that one almost made up for that but not quite, I want more Peter in the Deadpool 3

    Which the real Deadpool shot.

    repeteadly.

But joke is on them. Because Mr. Pool is second only to Jesus in ratings and comes first in places that is not Christian.

On the other hand I don't know anything a Fant4stic. How did that one go again?

Saw the movie recently and forgot we had a thread about it. The skydiving scene Yukio and the mid credit bits were probably my favorite. Definitely didn't go how I expected considering the advertisements. Expected Cable to be more vilianish.
