I feel like people aren't willing to acknowledge that game might be hard.

This one summarizes my feelings about NH this game pretty well, I think.

 

I understand, but I'm 'not lynching' you because I don't think you're the most likely person to be scum, and I also think I can get a more accurate read on you once you acclimate. While I might /want/ to try and give you time and space so you enjoy your experience more, I'm still playing to win, etc.

But here's where I'm at - I focus on kind of poking around the game and generating town reads for much of D1, then I kind of sit down, look at the playerlist, and sort it out.

I have pretty reasonable degree of confidence in all of these names being villagers. Yes, I acknowledge you won't have that same confidence because some of the strength comes from familiarity and knowledge of their abilities as both alignments, what they are and aren't capable of, and so on - but if you just accept those reads as fact, we're left with the following cluster of names:

And this is basically why I asked you that question - if you're a villager, what world are we in, what are the wolves in this group doing to try and advance a win condition? What makes any kind of sense from a level that isn't 'rolling over and losing, while hoping paranoia causes the top cluster to tear itself apart'?

If you have time to talk to me about Nego, it would be appreciated. Not a huge priority.

 

Beru, in the world where fen/you/Kai are all town, mafia is still in tsaiah, NH, Regfan, Citrus, Nego. It doesn't actually change my worlds that much. But that's a 0-thought version and if you all flipped town I'm sure I would have more ideas by then. Not that I'd be alive at that point, but that's a different matter.

Nego is someone I'm pretty much deliberately putting off sorting until D2 because I've heard them whine a dozen times about horrible they are at D1's. I want to see that in action and how they respond to new stimuli that isn't just gut reads when reading through d1 loosely.

Because like.

I don't really know how much of that is playstyle and how much of it is alignment indicative, and I kind of want to lynch it despite knowing it's partially playstyle, if that makes sense?

I think Nego's reads are so unique that it makes me almost lean villager on them because they seem so very much not..consensus? Like if they were a wolf trying not to draw attention or rock the boat, I feel like they'd be a little different, but it's pretty thin. Nego's just a kind of 'wait and see' read that I don't love making, but is fine to have in a 17 player game I think.

 

I just posted a picture containing my thoughts on NH. But yes I have been thinking about my legacy and words are hard.
