Been thinking about this odd hunter deck for a while.

    Curious if it'll work.

Made it off the top of my head, might need tuning. What I've often found when playing odd hunter is it fizzles because it can't go over the top of taunts and stupid armour.

Necromechanic and void ripper the turn after you play flark is 16 damage, 19 with hp...

You don't like Secret Plan for this deck? The discovered secret could prove useful.

The plan would be to get early game board tempo by using mechs, hit their face a lot with hp and minions, then the finisher are the bombs.

I'd rather play a minion turn 1 and either two more turn 2 or hp.

Depends on meta though. If it's not fast enough to beat, say, odd pally, you'd run it for exp trap sure.

Btw I'm also super excited about maly otk rogue. The weapon and 5 mana play dead let you do some degenerate things with kobold illusionist.

Maybe I just love cheating cards out with Discover too much for this type of deck because I would at least put in 1 of each Secret Plan & Stitched Tracker.

There's a reason why I played Midrange and now play Recruit over Face Hunter!

Nvm, a simple google shows that the correct way to build this deck is with the rocket Mech and Kangor’s army. A lot slower, but it does remove the RNG.

The only viable Mechathun deck I've seen theorized is even lock.

Galvanise MC twice, then when you draw your deck, you play MCthun, Bloodbloom, Cataclysm = win.

That's a 5 card combo in a deck with insane draw, and even lock is decent on it's own already.

Really? The first thing I thought of when I saw that card was taunt/Hadronox druid, with all the many druid tools to stall out the game and draw like crazy, then cap it off with Mechathun + innervate + naturalize.

How are you emptying your own board? Especially in Taunt Druid.

Even if your board is somehow empty, they run so much draw discarding your hand will be an issue too without fatiguing to death.

You just play out your hand.

In my head, Mechathun isn't the only win condition; it's the beat stick you hold onto in case your opponent can handle the Hadronox or whatever. If they wanna leave your minions up forever, that's just fine. You don't need Mechathun in that case, you just smorc them to death, while they can't hurt you through your taunts.

And if not, then when you've tried everything else, you drop Mechathun and win immediately.

You misunderstand. I'm a saying you literally can't play out your hand. I rarely, if ever, play both UIs (but you play two to increase the chances of playing 1), even branching paths, nourish and ferocious howl become a pain to shed.

I play a lot of maly druid, handsize is a real issue. You definitely don't want innervate and mecha'thun adding to that clutter.

Those decks are busted, and they're getting Floop and biology project. You could do it, I suppose, but you'd have to play both UIs (which leads to really inefficient plays to hand dump) really early, hope you don't mill Mechathun or innervate, then proceed to stall while getting rid of your nourishes etc...

    It... Sounds unlikely.

You'd probably have an easier time doing it with Rogue tbh... Even then I wouldn't recommend it...

Speaking of, can't wait to get farmed by odd pally and face hunter when trying the new MalyRogue combo deck (kobold illusionist, prep deathrattle vial, swing with rattle weapon, backstab KI leaves up 4 Malys... No more armour to save youuuuuu)

So it looks like we only get the 3 packs for logging in Tuesday plus 3 when the Labs open up in 2 weeks. I'm legit sad that Team 5 gave no Boom packs in Tavern Brawls like in past expansions.

There will also be a celebration "Days of the Frozen Throne" with new quests that have been datamined.

My plan is to buy at max 47 packs; only if I have bad luck with my pity timer; along with using the rest of my gold on arena runs.

I think we're talking past each other. I'm talking about shit like this deck, just replacing, say, one Spell Stone and Lich King with Mechathun and Innervate or somesuch.

It should be pretty easy to play your entire deck (the only difficulty I can see would be handling the occasional low-tempo turns if your recruit cards brick), and if your opponent somehow manages to live through four or five Hadronoxes, you can then drop Mechathun to seal the deal.

The cardback for July is the Lightforged.

Why couldn't that have been an exclusive reward for getting 12 wins in Arena? There is the Legend cardback, the Lightforged could have been the Arena equivalent.

I for one am quite glad the Lightforged card back was merely for July. I like it, quite a bit.

And I really can't wait for Tuesday. I did both pre-orders, plus I have 8k gold waiting to just open packs.

Personally, I have no fucking idea why they haven't put achievements in the game and tied awards to that (card backs, heroes, emotes etc).

Imagine having achieves like needing to win with Mecha'thun with each class, ditto for Stars Align card etc.

Would make the downtime so much more tolerable.

From what I've seen, the answer to most of the "Why haven't they done X?" questions are answered with - "Our mobile app is already horrifically giant and taxing on phones and our code is spaghetti."

I wish they'd revamp Hearthstone entirely and build an entirely new system to support it with all the progress that's been made over the years.
