    "Not quite as trash as the prequels" shouldn't really be the goal of a new generation of Star Wars films. The new movies being awful to a lesser extent doesn't excuse them, and only makes them more soul-crushing when you get hit by disappointment for what could have been on top of disappointment for what is.

    Honestly the Expanded Universe is way better than the new movies.

    And the EU is, on average, mediocre fanfiction at best.

    To put it in perspective...the quality of the EU is like a Darth Mar/Kenichi fanfic with the occasional fic written by Joe.

    The new movies are like Harry/Draco slash fanfics.

    Is there a new movie out this Christmas? I kind of gave up after the third, or was it fourth? deathstar. When they made it bigger so it could destroy several planets I was just thinking, "really?" Fucking lazy writing.
