What the fuck. Is that real? Are we really doing that now?

 

But it's worse than them not writing anything because it's fucking obvious anything written in a particular time period is a product of that same time period.

 

I think this has been an issue throughout time. You've always got people coming across books written before they were born. It might be better to simply have an editor's note before Kant's main text begins explaining the very same thing it's asking parents to discuss with their children. While I haven't read Kant myself, I am given to understand that most kids old enough to understand him would either understand that books written in a time period will hew to the values of that era, and if they don't, an editor's note would be quite explanatory.

After all, this isn't Tom and Jerry, where potential viewers might not be able to grasp the problems with blackfaces and so on.
