It's in the bin cause it's rated at under four stars, and Sree hates it.

A lot of the fics on the list by SerpentAttire have been in the library for years. A long time before the Review system was introduced. They don't get any attention unlike this series, which is still on going and receives regular comments. This series is readily considered to be a terrible piece of Harry Potter fan fiction (mainly because it isn't actually Harry Potter any more) by a lot of people on this site. The older fics in the library also date back to a time when they were considered good as they offered something new and promising, such as The Girl who Lived by Silverageis.

The reason, I imagine any way, that this fic has been put here is because it has turned rubbish. If the first 20-25 chapters were all there was and it remained a Harry Potter fic, then I am sure it would still be in the library. It deviates from the Harry Potter world by immortalising Vampires and the Fae and it makes Voldemort and the wizarding world pathetic.

To be fair, Voldemort and what we've seen of the Wizarding Worlds is kinda pathetic. Look at all the potential they have; The ability to make anything, go anywhere and do anything.

Then look at the Weasleys. And the Malfoys. And Harry. And Neville (Before he hardens the fuck up and goes crazy with a sword).

    See where I'm going here?

Although, looking back at the series, the more I think about it, the more brilliant Albus Dumbledore becomes. God that man arranged everything. I think that his only real errors were not murdering Skeeter before the Tower, and not making sure that Snape carried Nagini-antivenin at all times. And AD might actually not have cared if Snape died, so long as Nagini was out of play...

Not preventing Skeeter's muck-raking novel from being published was one thing that really was a missed trick. Although I still think that the DoM was a slip up.

Hang your mouse over the stars: it's actually at 3.59, which the forum automatically rounds up to 4, but is up to the mods to decide if it's Library material or not.

And didn't a bunch of people vote without reading the story, after a prompt from some person? Can't remember whether it was for or against.

(Just answer, don't start another dicussion about it please)

You think the admins can monitor whether the people voting have actually read the story?

If you want the history, this thread started way before the For Review system. It was moved to the Alternates (out of Independent Harry) because it became way more OOC and AU from canon. The voting on it had it below 3.5 for a while (meaning only 3 graphical stars displayed) and in early April it was moved from the Library to the Bin.

With most fics, when moved from the Library to the Bin, the silent lurking majority then usually votes higher on it to raise it back up. This is also true of moving from the Bin to the Library inspires those who dislike it to vote and move it back down. This is why the fence-riding fics bouncing around 3.5 are at the admins' and mods' mercy.

And with a 3.58 at the moment, I'm not inclined to move it from the Bin to the Library because of ALL THE FUCKING BITCHY ASS WHINERS ASKING WHY ITS IN THE BIN. IT'S IN THE BIN BECAUSE OF YOU, YOU FUCKING BITCHY ASS WHINERS.

Of course, if you can find a mod willing, it can be moved. If the story actually improves and the rating goes up to closer to 4 stars, it will probably be moved. But since I don't see those things happening right now, I'm inclined to tell anyone asking why it's in the bin, to simply shut the fuck up. Because you keep talking, and it's that much harder for it to ever escape the Bin while you're annoying the mods and admins.

This fic has been around almost as long as the site so its way before the For Review Section.

I'm afriaid not. It's in the bin to compensate for Sree's inadequate Indian junk.

    Or so Tinn tells me.

I think this fic is actually quite good in terms of length and grammar and vocabulary etc though it does deviates from the HP alot.

And it hardly seems to go anywhere. The plot management is horrible. I just keep following it out of habit, but I think I'll stop at some point.

Umm. What? It hardly seems to go anywhere? There is a ridiculous amount of plot development I don't think you're reading the story you think you are.

You can say it's shitty w/e be a little queer like Sree and BAAAAAAAAAAAAW about it but saying it hasn't gone anywhere is plain stupid.

I didn't say it hasn't ever gone anywhere, I said it doesn't seem to go anywhere anymore.

Actually, I just realised I haven't read the last chapter so I'm a bit out of line, and it seems to close off the Voldemort plot which had been going on a bit too long for my liking. That's some improvement, but I still think the plot is rather labored. The fact that they're still planning for an upcomming war is part of the problem. The sequel has been going on for 230k in 22 months.... that's a lot too just plan a war.

I also enjoyed the first story a lot more than I do the sequel.

@oephyx: At least you didn't ask why it's in the Recycling Bin (I really appreciate it, too.) Interesting handle, btw.
