Eh. I'm not totally sure I like what seems to be shaping up to be a long flashback...
I've been waiting to see the crew get back together hopefully, but it seems Oda is taking this interesting places. I wonder if Luffy has met the Tenryuubito back when he was a child. I guess we'll fine out pretty soon.

I like Sabo. He'll obviously make a future appearance, I'll be looking forward to that. Although I'm slightly worried he'll be a slave or something.

Not sure how to take this but the hat Sabo has been wearing is very close possibly the same one that adult Ace was shown to be wearing.

 

If Sabo actually managed to marry into royalty he could have a big part to play down the line.

 

Or it's possible he's dead, considering that back in Marineford Luffy shouted something like "You're the only brother I have!" to Ace (Pretty sure it went like that, at least).

Well, maybe not dead. Something might've broken their bond? Who knows.

 

Unless they're setting Sabo up to be a new crewmember (Which I highly doubt, considering his claim he made about his own ship/the new story developments), I honestly don't wanna read about him. I'm tired of reading constantly about characters outside of the crew. I kinda miss the actual crew itself. Considering how many chapters it's been since the rest of the crew was featured... you could consider it two complete arcs after this flashback... It's getting a little old.

I wouldn't even mind a break from Luffy now if it involved getting the crew back together. Feels like it's all going to be glossed over when they meet back at the ship and each character, instead of getting a chapter or so explanation, may see a page or two (Oh there was this island, I trained, I'm pretty bad ass now) detailing what happened. I understand Luffy being the main character... but he's played up the roles of the crew too much to just leave them out so long.

I love how black and white the characters were. Sabo's new brother was drawn and written so hate-able that it isn't even funny. On the other hand, Sabo could join Dragon :awesome:
