I think the movie makers decided not to do that for a simple reason. It doesn't matter later on in the story. So why spent money on CGI, make-up etc. to illustrate something without relevance for the plot as a whole? Pretty sad actually, both from the books' and the movies' perspective. JKR could have elaborated so much more on the Veela aura, and given it a substantial role in the books.

I don't think anyone can live up to the expectation. Fleur is afterall quarter-veela and therefore it's pretty much impossible to find someone that perfect looking who can also act convincingly.

Also, it is freaky how much Clemence Poesy looks like Clare Danes. Just pointing that out.

I just figure the characters are seeing something we aren't, what with the Veela blood and all. They aren't beautiful, they just have some magical way of convincing everyone around them that they look beautiful, hence why the effect is even stronger when they make a deliberate effort like when they were dancing at the World Cup.

Indeed. And by combining this idea with Jeram's, we now know why there (seemingly) are no male veela...

For Fleur Delacour, the winter had been a long one. Northern France was chilly and wet, and as she shivered in her long silk night gown, she couldn't help but recall the summer. She had been with her family, preparing for her wedding, when she received word through the Floo network that her husband-to-be, Bill Weasley, had been viciously attacked and murdered.

Fenrir Greyback, the werewolf who had previously scarred Bill's face, had tracked him down and even four grown wizards couldn't stop his pack of wolves from tearing into them.

Fleur recalled the heart break she felt, standing next to her father, screaming into the Floo. She also remembered thinking that if anyone survived, it was a miracle.

"Fleur," she heard her father say from the door to her room, "You have a guest."

She sighed, and made a concerted effort to look happier, for her father and her guest's sake.

"She's right in here," her father said, gesturing the guest forward. "I'll leave you two to it."

Her father turned away and Harry Potter entered the room, frowning as per usual. She noted that he looked less gaunt then the last time she had seen him, so she took that to mean that he had good news.

"Harry," she said, by way of greeting. She stood and gave him a lingering hug and a peck on both cheeks. Harry didn't seem to notice at all, and she assumed correctly that his Occlumency was already in effect, blocking the sensual pull all Veela are known for. Her father had approached Harry to teach Fleur the basics of Occlumency, in order to limit the nightmares that had wracked her seemingly every night since Bill's death. It had worked, to some extent, though she still tended to relive his death during her waking hours.

Harry was straight to the point. "I can't teach you Occlumency any longer, Fleur. I'm sorry."

Fleur's heart jumped and she angrily began, "What does zis mean? Can't? Or won't!" She walked to Harry and looked at him expectantly. "Well?" she inquired. "Why can't you teach me Occlumency?"

Harry shook his head as if to clear it, and turned away from Fleur. "I can't control myself around you anymore, Fleur. It's a constant effort to keep my mind clear from your allure, and the more time I spend around you, the harder it becomes." He took a deep breath. I'm sorry, but I need to go."

He glanced at Fleur's face to see it was mocking his own. "I need to go," she said, twirling one hand in the air over her head. She pointed to the door. "Go, then, boy. I will be fine without you!"

She pushed him towards the door but he refuged to budge, and she grew frustrated when she couldn't move him. She was only inches from his face, but she yelled as loud as she could, "I don't need you!"

A tear trickled down her cheek and fell on her lips, quivering just an inch from his own. They were ever so red and, in that moment, he wanted nothing more than to be able to kiss her. He leaned in and brought their lips together, surprising Fleur and releasing his and her own control on their Occlumency. A moan from Fleur sent a shock through Harry, and the next thing he knew they were on Fleur's bed.

    EDIT:

Her dad opened the door, alarmed by Fleur's scream, found Harry dry humping Fleur, both of their tongues dancing, their eyes locked on eachother, and he pulled his wand from his robes, forcefully banishing Harry into the wall. "Get the fuck off of her!" he yelled, kicking the Boy Who Lived. Fleur could do little more than wail in response, and was shocked into silence when Harry stopped moving completely.

"Are you alright?" her father said, finally taking his eyes of the raven haired boy. "I'm so sorry, baby." He wrapped her in a hug and shook her while she cried.

"He loved me," she whispered, as her father patted her back consolingly. She watched, intrigued, as the blood pooled around Harry's neck, and it reminded her so much of Bill that she almost smiled.

    -

Harry succumbs to her allure, his Occlumency fails him, and she responds eagerly.

Her father locks her away in a tower because she enraptures everyone who comes across her.

Oh, damn. I did have "PLOT BUNNY:" written at the top of the page, but I guess I deleted it. It was meant to be a cross between an angsty Harry/Fleur fic and a WTF fic. It was a lot of crack to take in at once.

Impossible task complete: Read "Knowledge is power"
quick review: The tale is crap up until Harry's 5th year, when Fleur appears... unfortunately the author leaves it hanging a few chapters after Fleur finally admits that she likes Harry.
    .... disgusting.

Perhaps the only respectable Harry/Fleur story I've read so far was "Harry potter and the wastelands of time" by joe6991, where the main plot isn't their romance.

I suggest you give it a try.

Sorry to burst your bubble there, but we're all well aware of those stories. Knowledge is Power was a guilty pleasure fic that was abandoned a long while ago, and Wastelands of Time was proofread and checked by the DLP community before it was posted anywhere else. Both have already been thoroughly discussed in this thread and others. Next time you necro, I suggest you read the thread first.

Tl;dr- No shit, sherlock. Go kill yourself.

Yeah. I already went this route. There is nothing awaiting anyone attempting an Assassin's Creed crossover.

It's true. Once you've played through about 20 missions you are perfectly suited to play through all the rest. Hell, Prototype was the same but at least you could go randomly slaughter shit when you got bored. Did AC let you do that? No, it made you run away like a little bitch >_>.

Aww, it's an Assassin's Creed crossover?

I was thinking it was something else.
