    Why would you attach a sword to a gun like that? I mean, a bayonet, sure, but that's... it bothers me.

    Pretty sure its this. I can't see any definite signs of attachment to the hilt.

    You can see his empty sword scabbard by his left hip. He probably dropped it out of exhaustion, and it just fell by his side - he's not even holding his gun.

    I'm pretty sure there is an extremely small decimal after the eight, upon further observation. Yeah, it's there if you zoom in.

    It's based off The Scream. Pretty famous painting, too. Honestly, I always assumed it was Van Gogh, too. Wiki says otherwise, though.
