Did anyone else finish the main quest line and just think 'meh'?

Was sort of hoping for something a little more interesting tbh. I mean I deliberately took my time with it because Oblivion I just powered through it and overloaded on the epic, but this was astonishingly banal.

I actually thought there was more to the main storyline I was missing. The final battle didn't feel like a final battle at all. When you step back and look at it I suppose it's an epic setting for it, but I did not for one second feel the "wow" moment.

    Still an epic game though.

Yeah don't get me wrong, the amount of content is amazing, I just can't help but feel that it's lacking something in the story department. Maybe there'll be some amazing DLC c:

Well someone did post a link here. Basically, a guy went to the furthest edge of the map that was closest to Morrowind and used noclip to get out of it.
It seems Bethesda put in the entire Morrowind and Oblivion landmasses in it, just scaled down slightly. Probably for some DLC :awesome

I'll see if I can find it again.

    EDIT: Found it.

I've been fucking around and not playing the main quest for a while, but I just finished 'Elder Knowledge' and I spent at least two hours in Blackreach, just wandering around the place and staring in awe. Seriously one of the best sights in any video-game, ever. Add to that the awesome feeling of discovery as I piece together the history of the place and the Dwemer who lived there. I went archaeologist and just studied the ruins to see what I could work out. Atmospheric as shit.

I've heard Skyrim described as a game about wanderlust, which is pretty true. Though the lack of gigantic, epic battles etc is disappointing, I enjoy the discovery aspect even more, so it balances out. Also, the College of Winterhold questline is pretty fucking boss. Some random quests also turned out to be awesome, like going into some dinky little cave and finding a gigantic mystical ritual to resurrect an evil necromancer. I don't know, I guess I'll just take what I can get here.

My brother's doing the College quests right now. It's interesting, from what I've seen. A lot more involved than just "fetch me twenty goblin skulls for some gold," or "rescue this idiot that trapped himself in a cave... with goblins."

Yeah, I just got it. I have decided that any quests that involve killing x number of this will be ignored, and the npc killed in his/her/it's sleep.

Been playing stealth....but I'm tempted to make a Redguard*, name him Raoh, and get the perk to punch things with heavy gauntlets.

    *shut up.

Yeah, when I made it to Blackreach I was in awe for a few minutes. Then I took a bunch of screenies and explored.

I just completed a quest for Farkas in Whiterun and when I return to Jorvaskr I can't turn it in. In my questlog it's sorted under completed quests, but it still has 'Return to Farkas' as an uncompleted objective.

I can pick up a new quest, but Aela claims I'm already running a job for Farkas, does this mean it completed itself when I killed the bandit leader or is it something fishy going on?

It's something fishy. Reload from a previous save before you spoke to him and talk to him again. The exact same thing happened to me with that guy in Solitude, the Jarl's assistant, and reloading fixed it.

Went to an earlier save, lost 30 minutes time played, and tried again.

I've isolated the issue. The quests moves down to the completed section once I enter Whiterun at all, which makes it impossible to turn in. Really cant be arsed to go to an even earlier save to check it out, that's multiple hours of gameplay to retake.

    Any other advice?

Edit: Even more annoying is the fact that the quests stays active if I fast travel to Dragonsreach, not Whiterun, but if I move even slightly it pops to completed.
