I'd have liked an option to become High King yourself. You're a fucking Dragonborn. The last one forged his own continent-spanning empire and, what, you're stuck doing some redneck war criminal's dirty work so he can rule, or helping the crippled and failing old Empire limp along? Fuck that.

Eh that could be fun for the first add on but personally I'm hoping to see the Altmer Dominion try another invasion attempt through Skyrim and you have to fight them off with big parts of the plot based on which group you sided with in the Civil War. Like if you picked Ulfric then your soldiers are much more powerful but because he's an idiot you have to spend a lot of time fixing the messes he makes when he spreads the soldiers too thin or when he pisses off a big chunk of the elves who decide "Fuck this" and start their own rebellion twenty feet away from his palace. Or if you picked the Imperials then your soldiers are much better trained with good commanders in charge but because of the resentment from the Jarls they don't listen to your plans, don't send their soldiers where they're needed and you end up having to deal with them.

Knowing Bethesda, the guards would still attack you for the smallest transgression even if you were High King.

Chick sings in some darn sweet dragon. /Love this. Thanks for the link.

Skyrim, thank god I just pirated it due to the patch problems.

I try playing my mage, but then I wander into a dungeon with three mobs in the boss room that all two-shot me, and I cry. And switch into my totally imba S&B full Daedric warrior. Taking 4% elemental damage and 10% physical damage with 400 hp pool at level 30 is pretty hard to take down.

Yeah, I'm not that far in, but I'm feeling infuriatingly powerless any time someone brings up the Thalmor. Those cunts... I terribly enjoyed shooting 12-inch spikes of ice into their faces :p

Its probably been one of my most satisfying moments I've had while playing Skyrim when I got to set this Thalmor asshole and his friend on fire and take their souls as trophies in the mage quest line. I literally could not stop laughing when after his long winded monologue on how worthless and powerless we all were compared to the Altmer I just clicked the Slow Time shout on, unequipped my weapons and beat him to death with my bare hands in like two seconds.

So Has anyone else shouted a foe off a cliff and into a river and then realized that the other foes did not have the key to the lair......

Yes. Fortunately, lockpicking is ridiculously easy in Skyrim.

Except when the plot randomly tells you that a key is needed to progress. One of the most annoying things in the game for me. Especially in the Thieves guild mission where that guy unlocks every door that you can't even attempt and tells you how easy it is.

For those that sided with Ulfric Stormcloak,
Have fun working for a Thalmor sleeper agent.

Well yeah I got that impression when you invade Solitude at the end and Tulius tells Ulfric "Your such a fool, for all your hate of the Dominion you can't see that your playing right into their hands. This right here and now is exactly what they want." I mean I was already supremely unhappy with picking the Stormcloaks but when I saw that I just said fuck it, made a new character and went with the Imperials and I don't regret it for a second. I'm greatly looking forward to getting to kill Ulfric and his pet roid monkey now.

You clearly missed the bit in the book where

It repeatedly states that Ulfric is extremely uncooperative and is downright ignoring the Thalmor in favor of his rebellion, and that the Thalmor consider a Stormcloak victory just as bad as an Imperial victory when it comes to the Civil War.

There's also the fact that the entire ordeal is much more understandably interpreted as motivation for Ulfric's struggle against both the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion.

That said, fuck you for the glory of the Empire.

From what the book says, it's not so much that they see a Stormcloak win as being just as bad as Imperial one as it is that the Thalmor want to keep the Civil War going as long as possible to bleed the Empire and Skyrim dry. That, or the Thalmor hope that if the war keeps dragging on Ulfric will agree to become their puppet in exchange for aid.

Yeah, that was annoying at the time, but it is explained later in the quest line by the fact that he had the Skeleton Key and was abusing it's power. He couldn't open them otherwise.

And helping Ulfric is a stupid thing to do if you want to beat the Thalmor. The Imperials and the Nords likely will continue to fight each other, and Skyrim in it's extremely weak state (loss of soldiers from the civil war, no support from the Legion, lingering threat from the Empire to account for) will be no match for the elves, who took on a fully united Empire and won. From there it will be easy for the Thalmor to march on in and take Cyrodill.
