    That guy has got to have some crazy good balance, that looks like it would be hard to walk on in climbing boots when it was perfectly dry rock.

    Its not just one person. Its prolly a professional mountain climbing team with ropes tied around each and all. I also suspect the 'walking stick' in his hand has some kind of hooking device at the end.

    Ballsy, yes, but no more than most mountain climbing teams in the world.

    There's two people in the photograph. I also see absolutely no way for ropes to tether those two to anything but each other.

    The stick thing will obviously provide some sort of stability though.

    I think I'm going crazy because that pic looked like one guy walking away from the camera and all of a sudden someone mentions it and I now see a group of people walking towards it :confused:

    It's two people, possibly lashed together, walking towards the camera. They're wearing crampons and there's a bunch of walking techniques for every terrain and angle of elevation. That ice is likely a lot more compact than you think, they have ice-picks and a shitload of other safety equipment.
