I could have done without seeing that. Ever. Now I have new nightmares to add to my usual spider related ones... Also Skyrim related ones.

Its why I watched the ones with modded Mudcrabs that looked like Doctor Zoidberg killing them, that made me feel better personally.

Got Skyrim and been playing it. Two things I wanted to ask:

It appears my laptop can handle Skyrim's graphics at Low with a very small amount of lag. Any ideas on how to improve that?

Anyone capable of recommending a good wireless mouse?

You'd have to ask one of the other people who play around here but I am absolutely positive I have seen someone mention a mod available that can cut down lag.

Ob phone, cant find relevant links. Search for the Performance Enhancer for Low End Computers mod.

And no, wireless mice are gaming evil.

Wireless gaming mice are fine. The lagtime and battery time has gotten to the point where they're just as good as wired mice.

I use a Microsoft Sidewinder X8. It even has freaking plug and play ability, where you wave the mouse near this little magnetic plug, it sucks it up into the connector, and you continue on while it recharges like 10 hours of heavy wireless use in a half hour or so.

    Can't seem to find it.

54 pounds for a mouse? Damn Midknight, I'm just a university student. This alone nukes another quarter of my money for the month. :sherlock:

It's worth it. There's a wired version for a great deal less, or you could eBay one

So I finally got around to finishing this quest. Heh...it was pretty good, though it ended a little anti-climatically. I was hoping for a little more craziness,
though finding out that I proposed to a Hagraven was hilarious. And gross. But mostly hilarious.
Now I just need to find something to try out that staff on...

Everything. Try it out on everything. Then put it in your house until you're high enough level to survive the 'surprise'.

Lol, this makes it sound like it should just be put on the weapons rack as a decoration...

I enjoy walking around with the Mace of Molag Bal equipped. The Guards get nervous when you walk past them.

Anybody know the significance of the Thalmar fort near the coast in northwest Skyrim?

I slaughtered them all out of principle and they were holding Nord prisoners and an Argonian but I couldn't find any docs...

Yeah, it's a quest from the Grey-Manes in Whiterun to rescue their son from the Thalmor, who arrested him for Talos-worship. After you wipe out the Thalmor at the base, people might even congratulate you for showing them who's boss. You can suggest trying to free the guy diplomatically, but even though this is an option in the journal it isn't actually possible. The only ways to finish the quest are through stealth and massacre.

Hm, must be only for your character. Lydia's had it equipped for a while and no one's said anything.

Ah, so that's why the prisoners wouldn't leave. I got pissed off and killed the argonian and women prisoner because they were giving me attitude after I saved them.

Didn't cop on that it would probably be a quest.

The other prisoners don't matter anyways: they will never leave the cells even if you open them. The guy you actually need to care about is shackled in a separate room; I don't know if he is there if you don't have the quest yet.
