Started to build a tower. I can't wait for the new update, when they'll up the hight limit.

 

Took over a house in the middle of the village, replaced ugly wooden plank walls with pretty logs. Server is great.

I started working on a massive rail system from my mountain to the village, it goes underwater several times, and starts with a fun ride down the back of my mountain. You all can have it, I found they made badass mods for Minecraft, so going back to singleplayer =P

The Mo’ Zombie Mod adds more zombies to Minecraft, and the Mod is up to date with Minecraft 1.1 so you can use it now. The Mod currently adds 9 new zombies which have different abilities and different features. One of the coolest zombies is Zombie Notch. Who can kill you in one hit, but he is slow and drops 0-4 apples. Other zombies include, Zombie Cookie Monsters, Zombie Miners, Zombie Creepers and a few more. The zombies drop a number of different things, either Cookies or Cobblestone. In the future the developer plans to add more zombies so this Mod can only improve.

Cookie from Cookie monster, Zombie Pirate drops Gold, TNT from Zombie Creeper, Zombie Notch drops apples, Zombie miner drops Iron pickaxes sand doesn't burn in sun.

Millenaire Mod NPC Village for Minecraft 1.1
create NPCs in your single player world You won’t be alone in single player anymore more! But, Humans + Mod is more like a NPC killing Mod and New Weapon, on the other hand, Millenaire are NPCs which you can trade with! Not only trade, they build villages! Build villages on there own, you can even see the process.
Villagers

Farmer = well, they farm!
LumberJack = Farm trees, cut reproduce.
Wives = make use of the resources gathered or harvested by there husbands. Also build new buildings.
Children = grows up into an adult when new building are created or wheat becomes bread.
Guards = patrol the village.
Priests = Churches = priests.
Smiths = makes norman tools for the village in the forge.

 

So I was getting ready to dig out the right tunnel for our two-track rail network when I found this:



On the left you'll see the beginning of the away tunnel, on the right you'll see a pumpkin farm where my return tunnel is supposed to be. So.... yea.

Oh and Giz, still waiting on that Nether landmark for your rail connection.

 

For some reason, I love watching pictures from our minecraft server; peoples creations or even just travels. Gizmore's have been especially good recently.

Minhoto, why don't you dig a tunnel under the pumpkin farm and move you "station" back a few blocks if you need more room?

Heh, I could probably fill up the entire thread with mod recommendations, but I'll stick to a few for now.

Better Than Wolves
Adds a ridiculous amount of gameplay without simply adding six billion new tiers of 'super diamonds from space,' or some crap. At it's core, Better Than Wolves focuses on preserving the vanilla minecraft feeling, automation and building.

Most mods will give you a magic box to solve a problem, and only that problem, usually just making it cost six thousand diamonds at some sad attempt at balance. Better Than Wolves is the complete opposite. Every single item has multiple uses and functions, all of which aren't immediately apparent.

As an example, the Block Dispenser can be used to make 'piston' doors (was made before pistons) a 2x2 t flip flop, 16 bit memory cell, and is integral to automation.

Buildcraft
In a lot of ways, Buildcraft is the opposite of Better Than Wolves. It has many magic boxes to solves your problems. The Quarry will mine for you, the Filler to flatten for you, the Builder will build for you.

And yet, it still manages to be a lot of fun. With the addition of Oil, gameplay is changed quite dramatically. As the name implies, you'll spend most of your time building, rather than mining. While the Quarry can get you the resources, you need to spend time building your infrastructure, piping Oil to your base to be processed into Fuel, and setting up your automatic item sorting system.

Better Then Buildcraft
First of all, that isn't a typo.

As you may have guessed, Better Then Buildcraft is a crossover of Better Than Wolves and Buildcraft. This came about when Flowerchild, the creator of Better Than Wolves, broke away from the Minecraft Forge api, making it incompatible with pretty much every mod.

But, he was always a fan of Buildcraft, so he spent some time making them not only compatible, but linked their tech trees together, adding the fantastic gameplay of Better Than Wolves to the impressive functionality of Buildcraft. After you 'graduate' from Better Than Wolves, you use the systems you've already made to start the Buildcraft tech tree.


Oh, and in case anyone wanted it, Lutris' texture pack is Sphax's Purebdcraft, though the real reason it looks so sexy is because of Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders, which makes minecraft look like it was made is a completely different (and better) engine. Try it out if your computer can handle it.
