I'm personally interested in how they will resolve the problems caused by the Doctor faking his death.

If the tesselector (or whatever the fuck their name is) have forward time travel that means that for the rest of the future the Doctor is considered dead (which is impossible)

Of course this can be written off as the mini-humans having only backwards time travel, so the Doctor would only be thought of as dead up until their "present" but depending on how far ahead that is there are spaces in which no major conflicts like the ones in Season 1 and 4 can take place.

Hopefully it will be a lower-key affair, with smaller level conflicts and such instead of Davros trying to eat up the universe.

Except for higher species, those with time travel, most beings have never heard of time lords much less the doctor. So if he is believed to be dead, for the majority of the universe nothing will change. For those who know who and what he is and what he has done or is capable of doing the doctor has the element of surprise. There will always be those who know the truth. But his enemies who hear rumors that he survived will have to ask, "what if he survived?"

Well, unless you're familiar with the Doctor's personal timeline (which nobody except maybe River is) you probably couldn't tell at what point in it the Doctor you meet is except by what regeneration he's on. So it's not really a problem until the twelfth.

I am personally sad to see Amy and Rory go. Rory has had great character development during his time, not too mention the fact that by A Good Man Goes To War he is a total badass. Amy is Amy and I have always liked her.

Yeah, Rory is probably the biggest surprise for me in 11th Doctor stories. I didn't really like him at first, but slowly he managed to grow on me to the point where I started to love his laid-back attitude to unusual things and fierce loyalty to Amy. It all happened around the time he waited 2000 years for her.

You can't hate the guy who grew up in a village and now doesn't sweat it when faced with an entire legion of Cybermen. It's just impossible to hate a guy that awesome.

I love Rory and Amy. I would much rather see River go honestly. But if I could get a package deal and get rid of all of them I'd take it.

Apparently episode 5 is going to be set in New York and it features the weeping Angels. There just so happens to be one massive ass statue residing in NYC.

Giant Weeping Angel? In New York? I don't know whether to palm my face or weep with joy. And that's Doctor Who right there, folks.

But yeah, there are tons of angel statues in New York. Hell, there are tons of angel statues in every major city in the western world. No lack of hiding places for a creature of living stone.

Honestly the only thing worse I could imagine would a spaceship that was formed to look like a Weeping Angel.

So I took a few minutes in photoshop to illustrate the point.

I hate this fandom now. D:

Seems that BBC is not taking lessons from USA producers and released the new trailer in a good quality just after the end of the Doctor Who Convention.
