Her name's Talisa Maegyr, played by Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter Oona. Given how little GRRM ever referred to Robb Stark (almost like he knew Robb wouldn't last long, so why get his point of view...), I think the show has done a service to the story in including more than just a pretty face and giving more depth and weight to Robb's choice.

I've yet to see the second season - I don't know how they portrayed Jamie in the show - but as far as the books are concerned, he's in my top 3 favorite people from the series. I really enjoyed how much his character has developed (seeing his young self in other knights, constantly doubting his choices etc).

When I called him "one of the worst characters in the series," I was referring to the show, not the books. I also quite like the direction his character has been going in the later books.

My point was that in both the books and the show, he starts out as a rather despicable character. The difference is that in the books, there are worse people than him (like Gregor Clegane) and how bad they are is clearly shown, so he doesn't look as evil as he does in the show. That makes him into a more redeemable character in the novels, while he's more of a Big Bad in the show, and his redemption might be a bit more difficult to accomplish.

Definitely agree with this - Jeyne's appearance, even in the books, was rather abrupt, and introducing her to the show would have been completely off the wall. That's why I initially thought Talisa was going to be Jeyne's replacement - it was only the mention of going to the Crag in Ep. 7 that threw me for a loop. I guess that was just a little tidbit they threw in there to mess with those of us who've read the books.

Never mind on this - he did say the Red God in the books. Misremembered that bit I guess.

Except he did kill with no reason, like I said, it was really gratuitous, he could simply have bashed whathisface a few times for the blood or got him to fake a seizure or a fight.

Possible Vargo Hoat? I honestly don't care about the lisp, this guy is kinda awesome.

I just caught the end of the episode, but it was fucking awesome.

"Those are brave men at those doors, let's go kill them!"

And Tywin and Loras bursting in to stop Cersei from killing Tommen :awesome, Big Damn Heroes, especially with the Rains of Castamere playing in the end credits.

Tyrion: Born "half a man", because as a whole man, he'd have been far too bad-ass. :colbert:

Great episode all around. However what got me wondering was that I never really wanted to see Jon, Daenery's or Robb throughout the episode, as it seems they are merely sideshows to the main action. Strange considering the lengths they have gone to to have one of each of them in every episode so far.

Considering I've been watching HIMYM lately, the end song was LEG-END-ARY!

I don't mind Jon's segments now that Ygritte is there to mess with him.

This so much. The entrance was bad ass, but for anyone who hadn't read the books it was probably so much cooler.

    Gah.

I downloaded the last two episodes on May 21 (episodes 7 and 8 ) off piratebay. Both were some of the strongest seeded downloads.

Well... I got caught. Now, my internet provider is threatening to cut me off.

I'm annoyed as fuck. This never happens, and now I can't go downloading any other episodes as I think they are watching me, and stream versions suck.

    Watch out everyone.

In other news, I really did like the last couple of episodes.

Why not stream them instead? I tend to use filebox, sockshare and putlocker. You can find most shows here at watchseries.eu.

I'm so glad that I finally have HBO again. They definitely deserved to count the four times I watched the episode in their stats.

Since I have read the books its always fun to watch the show with someone who hasn't. The reactions are priceless.

White Walker = Crypt Keeper now?

    The fuck?

I liked the skeletal design they had in the first episode a thousand times better.

Yea, I'm not a fan of the new design either and not killing Sam seems to contradict what we already know of them. Tywin riding into the throne room on a white horse seemed strange as well, I'm guessing it was supposed to be a metaphor of him saving the day at the battle but it still felt odd.

I did like the payoff for Daenerys's arc and the bit with Theon had me cracking up.

This honestly. Aren't they supposed to be sleek and inhumanly beautiful or someshit? I can get them sparing Sam, they've done it before, but that long shot of that...thing's face got painful.

I find it odd that the Dany storyline, the one that diverged the most and looked like it would make the least sense turned out alright while the Bran and Rickon storyline was much vaguer.

Who burned Winterfell? The Ironborn? The Boltons? Where did they take Theon? If it was to the Boltons and the Ironborn were going home why the fuck would Luwin tell them to flee? Clearly they would be fine with their allies? And this isn't even a budget problem, just have Luwin explain what the fuck is going on.

Also, I am so fucking mad that the people on Westeros.org turned out to be right about Cleftjaw.

    Theon was fucking hilarious imo.

Robb is as big a shit as he was on the show, perhaps even a bigger one, since he doesn't have the excuse that he was grieving.

IDK how I feel about the Halfhand/Jon scenes. They did compress some of the shit by having him captured, but it seemed a bit weird to me that they basically accepted Jon for killing someone in self defense as opposed him actively betraying his own side.

Also, what did Doreah do? Did she actively help plan Dany's fall or did she just start sleeping with Xaro after Dany left for the House of the Undying? True justice or Dany!Justice?

Wasn't she the one taking care of the dragons when they were captured? I remember Dany asking about her, and people thinking she was taken along.

Also, the 9th episode was better I think. Of course, it was mostly due the green fire. Although it is nice to see some plots closing...

So maybe they took her? Or she let them in? I doubt that the warlock needed her help. It seems more likely that Xaro scared her into staying after he made her think that Dany was doomed. I mean, as a slave she probably had to look after herself to survive.

W/e, it is basically a case of early Dany!justice, ask no questions and fuck shit up

Dany!justice is my favourite kind of justice. So hot, too.

Episode was kickass, season was kickass. I know everyone else has gripes - boy do they! - but fuck it, I loved it, I can reconcile the changes because I'm a hopeless fanboy, et cetera... So yeah, just think of the crazy shit we've got waiting for us next year: Mance Rayder, some White Walkering, the most awkward wedding ever that'll give two of the series's best actors some Emmy nominations, more of Jaime and Brienne's epic road trip (They're casting Vargo Hoat guys. THAPPHIRTH OR BUST), Dany's Magical Slave-Freeing Odyssey (And Whitebeard/Belwas Tag Team), a trip to Riverrun (Edmure and Blackfish are coming; it is known), THE MOTHERFUCKING BROTHERHOOD...

And of course, this time next year, we will have seen us some Red Wedding.

So is it next April yet?

Uh Matt, you might wanna avoid mentioning "that" event. It's a subtle spoiler.
