It's like getting a takeaway, but with more violent deaths.

    EDIT 2:

I just read everything I ever posted in this thread. THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING THE WHOLE TIME... The whole time I wasn't fighting with that idiot QuaziJoe.

    EDIT 3:

Pond Life. But in this part it's more of what the Doctor does when he is not with them.

This is true. Still cringeworthy though, IMO.

    "I feel so guilty."

These Pond Life shorts are surprisingly amusing.

I'll be out drinking, but I have it set to record. I'm debating over just skipping the drink to watch it.

So, thoughts? It was a slightly mixed bag, I'd say. I loved the atmosphere of it all, Matt Smith was brilliant, and it looked fantastic. Good to see the Daleks being scary again

I didn't buy the divorce thing. Five seconds in a Pond Life clip does not count as convincing build up, and since they got married there's been nothing to suggest they might have problems. Ok, it was explained, but it still didn't sit right. Maybe if they'd had the balls to do it for even two episodes it might have been more convincing.
On top of that, there was Oswin. Now, kudos to them for keeping her under wraps - it wasn't until about her second scene that I was certain it actually was Jenna Louise Coleman - but she didn't exactly make me start counting the days until she's back on the show. Of course, there's no knowing how much she'll change, under the circumstances. I didn't care for them bringing Donna back full time, and I ended up loving her, shit ending aside.
The final bit, with the Daleks forgetting about him completely...I like it. I don't think it will stick, certainly not after the next changing of the guard, but I like it. Fits in nicely with the end of last series.

Ok yeah, This episode was awesome and I enjoyed it.It was better than the Christmas episode imo.

I didn't like the divorce thing between Amy and Rory that much and even the conclusion felt a bit flat.

I liked Jenna Louise Coleman in this and her inclusion was a nice surprise.

    I liked the episode.

The Asylum and Daleks in it were really scary. Definitely more than normal ones.

Coleman appearance in this episode was a big surprise, but not her being a Dalek once we learned what happens to unprotected people on the Asylum.

Though I was expecting her to be human looking and become the Doctor's companion in the Christmas Special. A Dalek as a companion. How cool would it be?

And it's still possible, if in need of some twists to make it happen.

I just thought I'd pop in and see if I couldn't discern plot details from spoilers.

So. It looks like there was a divorce which served no purpose, and the new companion played some deus ex machina that saved the day and made the Daleks "forget" the Doctor. Because all arch-enemies have poor memories. Lex Luthor had fuckin' Alzheimers, iirc.

Chances are, like the last few assistants, the new one had some menial boring job who becomes so much more amazing!!!!1!1!!111oneeleven.

Unless of course they just had the actress guest starring instead of the character.

    That's
    been known to happen.

I'll be honest, I was tempted to watch because apparently the Daleks are in this episode, but as I said behind the spolier tags, I'm fairly sure it's something really stupid that concludes the show.

    Edit because Celestin ninja'd me.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA HOLY SHIT DEUX EX MACHINA I WAS SO RIGHT

    So basically we know how
The Companion is going to die. That's a bit meh?
Maybe I've got my wires crossed but I'm not a fan of the idea. Feel free to correct me.
