The GOG discounts are on a sliding scale. The games are only that cheap (80% off) if you buy the whole package. If you remove one game from it, the rest are 78% off, etc. That said, cheap rpgs are cheap.

I picked up Planescape: Torment (from pirate to legit), NWN Diamond (my discs are lost), NWN2 Complete (must play this, considering how much the Torment guys at inXile raved about the 'Mask of the Betrayer' being the closest thing yet to a Planescape: Torment inspired successor) and The Temple of Elemental Evil (the only Troika game I don't own, I think) for just $11.

Apparently the folks who re-released an updated Baldur's Gate botched it. It fixes old bugs, but introduces plenty of new ones. The new content isn't worthy of the original games. And the iPad version (which should've been brilliant) is poorly adapted for the device, making it equal parts frustrating and finger-tip-bruising to play.

It's a damn shame the remake wasn't done right. If you want to play those four games, you may as well just stick to the PC originals from GOG (or elsewhere) and use the well-established mods to improve the resolution and UI.

Mark of the Betrayer was a really good story. It's a pity it was attached to the NWN2 engine, which was not very good.

I'm going to struggle through it, even if I end up only playing that one campaign.

Dead Island GOTY for $5.00 on Amazon. Don't know much about the game besides that it has generally good reviews and the trailer interested me when it came out, just not enough to spend $60 on it.

Also comes with $8.00 promotioal credit for Dead Island Riptide.

The Walking Dead is a must play adventure game. Great story and great characters.

Now that all of the episodes are out, you can play it straight through to the end.

Starbound preorders are up. It seems to look like a more involved version of Terraria (made by one of Terraria's coders too). Preorder packs start at $15 and you can get four packs for 25% off. http://www.playstarbound.com/store/

GOG has a decent sale going on right now, mostly minor titles but there are a few that stand out.

    Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - $2.99
    Oddworld: Abe's Exodduss - $2.99
    Hotline Miami - $4.99
Don't Starve - $11.99 Only a dollar or two cheaper than Steam, but hey.

Don't Starve is worth it. Its dark, challenging, tons of fun, and has a unique art style with a real Tim Burton feel to it.

If you haven't played the Oddworld games, you should really see about correcting that.

Steam has Forge on sale for $4.99 this weekend, with 4 copies for $15. Its also free to try all weekend long.

Have you ever wondered what the big deal is about Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri? If not that, then perhaps Ultima, Wing Commander, Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Sim City 2000, Syndicate, or Medal of Honor.

Remember when EA used to make good games?

They're all 60% off at GOG.

Dunno if it's everywhere, but my Steam said that all star wars franchise games are 66% off this weekend.

That means that KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2 are for 6.44 (euros)
Maybe there are some more purchases that are worth it, hidden in all that Star Wars thing.

Think I should return the plunder back and buy the original, since I had a lot of fun in times where piracy was probably the only way to get these games in Lithuania...

The alleged plunder and even more alleged times of piracy. These statements might have meant anything in this context.

I didn't realize they had KOTOR 2 on Steam now, I know it was unpolished but I loved the shit out of that game on my Xbox so Im eager to try it with mods and the patch that fixed so much stuff I've heard about.

Thinking about getting Jedi Knight: Academy, Jedi Knight 2: Dark Forces, and Empire at War. Anybody played these recently and know if they've aged well?

Fallout 1,2, and Tactics are also on sale until noon tomorrow for $3.40 each or $6.79 for the set.

I enjoyed Empire at War quite a bit. Not quite Age of Empires/Mythology level, but still plenty of fun.

Getting Battle Front II this time, as it's the only good one I still don't have. Anyone know any good mods/fixes for it?

It's everywhere. Super dick move of Steam though to increase the price of the Star Wars bundle from $33 to $50 halfway through the sale.
