Hey guys, need a bit of help. I've been using Skype in my flat on offline mode for the past few days (don't have internet, long story), and when I went into Uni today to use their internet for some other stuff, I loaded up Steam to redownload some games, only to get this:


Help?

 

Goolge the error, something is up, I think you need to switch a setting for offline mode on or off, though it may require you to access the internet in some capacity on that computer.

 

The university network is blocking Steam connections. Reboot and try again.

I've also seen the same message when using a program which controls the servers that Steam is allowed to connect to [eg. if you only want it to use nearby Steam servers, then you'd block foreign ones], and something's gone wrong. If you've never installed a program like SteamManager, then that's not the problem.
