Well, at one point Naruto said his chakra felt yellow, so unless you're saying he's a sensor...

I won't cramp your style, though. We cam just pretend that never happened. :p

Really? Is it that common? I've probably seen that once, and it wasn't that annoying, though the concept doesn't really make much sense to me, personally. How are you supposed to Apparate to the exact location of some place you've never been? Don't you have to, I dunno, visualize the area you want to Apparate to?

Pet peeve: Independent!Harry fics that only show a childish, bratty Harry with too much money and loads of inherited positions (how is a teenaged boy supposed to use one, let alone four, Wizengamot seats??)

I've seen this a few times, and I don't mind it. It's a lazy way of getting people to places they haven't seen before, but there're much worse things to do.

I will always remember that one story where Harry could apparate to people. But only Tonks, because he knew what she looked like, sounded like, felt like, smelt like, and tasted like. Apart from him, there was one baby who could do it to its mother, and that was it.

The three Ds were Determination, Deliberation, and Destination. I always thought that implied that, yes, while it would be easier to go somewhere you've already been, all you'd really need is the name of the place.

Also, distance doesn't seem to be that huge of a factor. Harry Side-Along Apparated Dumbledore from somewhere in England all the way back to Hogwarts without too much difficulty.

And yet Voldemort had problems in DH.

Well, Voldemort was traveling internationally, while Harry only had to cross the British Isle. It kind of matters, I guess, but apparently only over, like, continental distances. In the scene you're talking about (Malfoy Manor?), he's coming from Nurmengard, which is presumably a fuckton of distance away.

Yeah, but it's because of the ocean. The salt in the water makes it harder to apparate, just like salt stops zombies and vampires.

No, no international mentions. No ocean mentions. Longer distances = harder. That is all.

For floo I accept ocean making things harder as much as it makes me think people just want to make wizards sound more like our society but not apparition(or whatever it was called, never really recall).

I didn't mean international politically, I meant it as an indicator of distance. Apologies.

The magical cores of the magical fishes in the waters are interfering with Voldemort magical core, that's why he had to fly and couldn't apparate.

I was pretty sure the major limitation on Apparating (other than the difficulty of side-along) was that you had to have been there. Otherwise wouldn't you need a Portkey?

And this has to do with canon, but I paid relatively little attention to DH so I only noticed this recently. Baby Tonks is a metamorph? Fucking really? It's supposed to be super rare. If the ability was heritable by any stretch I'm sure someone would be breeding metemorphs like animals. I could maybe see if a great-grandchild ended up with the ability or something, or if Pottermore retconned it in some way that Lupin's lycanthropy led to a larger portion of the baby's genes coming from Tonks to avoid contamination, but that ship sailed with the last update.

I'll also mention fics where Harry or anyone else discovers latent metamorph abilities (usually referencing the time when young Harry's hair grew back overnight after Petunia gave him a shitty haircut) but I haven't really encountered that kind of fuckery since I started using Filtered Fanfiction to better effect.

Stories with a blatantly unfair or evil Dumbledore. I mean, I don't mind if they do him evil or unfair if the plot requires it, there are good stories with that premise even if it is not the image I have of the canon version of him. But to make it obvious or make him extremely petty... that just feels like an author being lazy with the plot. He is Albus Dumbledore, he shouldn't act like Severus Snape.

Harry: " Hmmm…what are these extra training that I will be given and who will be training me? " Asked with an eagerness that appears out of nowhere.

Albus: " Well, you will be given trainings that are designed for hit wizards. Some of them are dueling, stealth, advanced defense against the dark arts, occlumency, and many more. The three of us right plus Remus Lupin and Kingsley Shackelbolt " Answered with a bright twinkle in his eyes.

Harry: " Will Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, and Neville receive the same trainings as I do? " Harry feels indebted by their loyalty.

Albus: " Harry, we do not have enough time to train them along with you, I am sorry. " Answered without the twinkle.

Harry: " Then I must decline, to receive such trainings if my friends are not included. "Giving his final answer.

Harry refusing training because his useless friends won't be included. Funnily enough I could see Canon Harry being stupid like this.

Right with you on this one.

    And for a peeve:

Dumbledore or Harry referring to Tom Riddle as 'Lord' anything. What the hell is he supposed to be lord of?

Alexx, what kind of stories are you reading? I have never seen that one. Or is that a hypothetical pet peeve?
