I just finished Molester Man and I agree it's an excellent manga. Give this one a chance, it's much better than it sounds.

Currently my favorite manga/manhwa would easily be Tower of God

It's very well done currently in its second season and going strong at 140+ chapters. The plot twists, the characters and even the humour is all top notch. The art style may seem a little odd at the beginning but it definitely improves later on.

The anti-cybercrime section of Tokyo is on the edge. A man wearing a newspaper mask posts videos online predicting the worst crimes: rapes, assaults, fires...

The twist? The day after, his prophecies have been completed on the front of the TV news. Who is he? How does he proceed? What are his motivations, his ambitions?

It's the start of a race against time which leads the inspectors to an empty seat in a cybercafe in the outskirts of Tokyo... But while the investigation is blocked, the popular support grows around this mysterious figure. Dropouts, employees tyrannized by their hierarchy, web users accustomed to chat and forums discussions: more and more are finding themselves included in his fight!

I just read Vagabond, one of the greatest mangas I've ever read. Can anyone recommend anything similar that isn't Lone Wolf and Cub?

I'm looking for something where the main character grows as a person, with the same depth and ambiguity when dealing with life or death situations.

I was never able to get into Vagabond. Probably because it's very closely based on Yoshikawa's novel about Musashi and I thought the book was so much better.

Ah thanks for that. I blitzed through Kingdom in about a day. It's absolutely amazing so far.

I'm looking for a good manga about astronauts or general spacey stuff. I've read Planetes and Twin Spica, but if anyone has any other good ones they know about please tell me. Preferably not one with the typical shounen art style, but if the plot/characters are good enough to counter that it'd be okay.

Sorry if this request has already been made here before, but...

Is there a shounen manga at the moment that is as good as Naruto and Bleach were in their 'glory days'? For Bleach, that'd be the Soul Society arc, and for Naruto, pretty much everything pre-Shippuden, or at least everything before Naruto defeated Pain.

I'm looking for something with a similar style to Naruto and Bleach. You know, the underdog protagonist, the rival, the unique 'magic' system, training sequences, epic fights, that sort of stuff.

Is there anything really new that matches that description? Does anything at the moment have the potential to be the next Naruto or Bleach?

    Thanks.

Really couldn't get into Magi at all.

Watched the anime up until they went to Sindria, then switched to the manga up until Aladdin went to that city of mages.

It always felt like it was on the verge of being good, but was let down because of the characters. Aladdin just doesn't seem to work that well as a protagonist and Ali Baba always seems to take a step backwards just as he's about to get interesting.

Does the manga continue in the same vein or does it change later on?

In my opinion, the Manga is a lot better than the anime. It's as you say, it's always on the verge of being good, but falls short. But, the Manga is a lot faster pace, and the story gets better as it goes on. Still, I remember I had the same not quite satisfied feeling too when I first started reading it. But I like it a lot currently.

My guess is that the last scene of the manga will probably be us catching up to the opening scene of the first chapter. I think that starting visual was probably Xin about to head out as commander-in-chief of Qin's campaign against Chu at the head of his 200,000 man army. That would probably be his crowning moment anyway, in which he has finally achieved his dream.

Okay, so I've started reading Tower of God and I'm really enjoying it. I'm also planning to read Shin Angyo Onshi, Magician, Breaker, The God of High School, and Threads of Time. Can someone recommend more manhwa (not manga - I already have a huge reading list of manga to get through) that are worth reading?

I'd also be interested in good manhua besides The Ravages of Time, which is already on my reading list.

Another Manwha. They seem to be the shit these days.

    Summary:

It's still in its infancy, but an interesting premise, great action, good, pro-active protagonist and all around competence makes it worth following.

Half of those aren't Manhwas, they're Korean Web toons.

Colour + Onestrip format = Web toon

    B&W + discrete pages = Manhwa

AFAIK, Korean webtoons are a subgenre of manhwa.

    Hey Guys,

Don't have a lot of new manga, since all the new stuff is either in the first 15 chapters ( so I don't rec it) or already here.

What I do have is one of the best manga in a long long time: Shoukoku No Altair

    The Batoto summary :

Cool Guy Summary: Turkey against France, with all that calls to mind. There's action, emotion, and amazing art. Also, the sheer amount of mind-blowing character development this manga has is amazing.
