Teen Titans crossed over with Captain Harlock. And a ship that suspiciously looks like Space Battleship Yamato.

Nah, that ship is Harlock's; the Yamato doesn't have the blocky bow that Harlock's vessel does.

Yeah I may need to watch Harlock if his vessel is at all like the SBY, which is probably my favorite anime after gundumbs

I've always been a touch skeptical of space images. Everyone seems to claim that every other image image is the best ever. And a lot of it is approximations. This, however is....just epic. Go to the link and see the full res.

    (An article about the same.)

i don't know why I'm so enamored by that photograph. (i promise i wasn't trying to hide a WTF?? image in the cool pictures thread)

Like, we all know, at least intuitively, that all of our forming teeth during our pre-teens have to be stored there (where would they grow, otherwise?), but that's the first time I've ever seen it. It's just... cool as shit. And now I'm wondering what those cavities are filled with once the tooth is gone. Probably blood/plasma/water/whatever.

Could also be bone. IIRC, our bones fuse together as we age and infants have about 110 more bones than adults. Pulling that out my ass btw

Honestly, I thought it was a protest against the whole Vietnam conflict and its rising toll on the innocent, but I knew it was an iconic 60's photograph.

It's a famous photo from pre-war Vietnam. He wasn't lit on fire by others, but by himself, in protest of (I believe) French occupation.

    edit: ninja'd by wordhammer.

Probably, right along side this one (Note: believe it or not, this was a legal shooting according to the Geneva convention).

And (NSFW) this one. She's known the world over as "Napalm Girl."

EDIT: Not "cool pictures." Brutal pictures of war, but in line with the conversation.
