Another webtoon, mentioned this earlier in the thread. A slow paced manga, that builds up. Lots of character development and world build up about an eternal battle between Gods and Suras (demons). Hindu inspired.

World Trigger is Manga from Shonen I'd like to recommend.

Only 30 something chapters, but I like it.

    Aliens, slightly superpowered Humans, etc.

As far as new-er webtoons go, I'm liking Ability a lot. Though I've been following it for months and I can't say the plot's gone much of anywhere... Is all been pretty episodic so far. But the latest chapters do promise something if an overarching arc...

    Nanatsu no Taizai

    Seven Deadly Sins.

A princess looks for the group named the Seven Deadly Sins to fight back a coupe a bunch of super powered Knights by the name of Holy Knights who took over the Kingdom.

Great manga, even though there's only 60 odd chapters.

    Check it out!

Breaker: New Wave's latest issue (last week): Oh, they're just being cock-teases at this point. If they actually do it, I'll be a very pleased reader.

Any decent manga about the Sengoku Era and the birth of the Tokugawa Shogunate (Oda Nobunaga, Uesugi Kenshin, Takeda Shingen, Hattori Hanzo, Miyamoto Musashi, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Toyotomi Hideyoshi so many awesome guys). Manhuas and Manhwas of this age or older are welcome too.

I'm already reading Vagabond, Nobunaga no Chef and Drifters (not really Sengoku but).

Please, no recomendation of mangas with them females. Hate that. The more historical the better.

Try Jin. It's very similar to Nobunaga no Chef, except with the main character as a doctor.

Thanks. It's a good manga, very interesting but its lacking in the character and plot department. The characters are pretty plain and the plot isn't very interesting after the basic premise. But it was still worth reading.

Is there a manga/manhwa about Hideyoshi's invasion of Korea? Because that would be truly awesome. I recently read (and thoroughly enjoyed) the novel Taiko by Eiji Yoshikawa, of which Hideyoshi is the main character. He's probably my favourite figure in Japanese history now, so any manga/manhwa focusing on his endeavours would be very welcome.

Just finished Deadman Wonderland. Probably been rec already and i didn't see, but I hsve to say it. Great story, great ending (almost impossible to happen), great supporting characters and best female and male protagonists in a manga I've ever seen. They have very little cliché traits, that's so fucking rare in manga, Ganta is awesome in the normal-person who becomes badass way, and I just loved Shiro. In my top 3, maybe the best ever.

All the light novels I read (which isn't many):

    Toaru Majutsu no Index

Toaru Majutsu no Index is set in Academy City; a technologically advanced academic city located in western Tokyo which studies scientifically enhanced superhuman students known as espers who develop powers. However, within this world of scientifically developed superpowers exists an underground world of magic and occult connected to the religious institutions of the world.

Kamijou Touma, an unlucky boy who happens to be one of the many students within Academy City, possesses a mysterious power in his right hand known as the 'Imagine Breaker'; an ability which allows him to negate all forms of supernatural powers, whether they are magical or psychic. One day, he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony railing named Index. She is a nun from Necessarius, a secret magic branch of the Anglican Church, and her mind has been implanted with the Index Librorum Prohibitorum: 103,000 original grimoires that the Church has removed from circulation. Their encounter leads him to meet others from the secretive worlds of science and magic.

Kamijou Touma's unusual power places him at the center of conflicts related to both science-based espers in Academy City and magicians. As Kamijou Touma tries to help and protect his friends, he learns that the people he knows are not as they appear and begins to attract the attention of magicians and espers alike as they try to unravel the secrets of Academy City and Index.

    Accel World

In 2046, Haruyuki is a fat kid that just entered middle school for half a year. He has the standard fat kid problems like low self-esteem, getting bullied and what not. His only escape is the virtual world, where his brain's reaction speed is not limited by his real world body size. There he plays squash in the school network, where his monstrous score is noticed by the school beauty Princess Snow Black. She wants to recruit him to a special world, where speed and ability to fight determines whether they get to keep their speed or not.

    Campione!

A Campione—a godslayer—is a supreme ruler.mSince he can kill a celestial being, he can therefore call on the sacrosanct, divine powers wielded by the gods.

A Campione—a godslayer—is a lord. Since the power to kill a deity is in his hands, he therefore looms over all mortals on Earth.

A Campione—a godslayer—is a devil. Since of all mortals who live in the world, none can assume a power to match his!

Kusanagi Godou, a 16 year old boy who played in the senior league as catcher and fourth hitter—that is, the cleanup—when he was in Junior High. However, an injury put an end to baseball. Though that was not the end for him. During the spring break of his third and last year in Junior High, he got involved in an adventure and ended up slaying one of the Heretic Gods, Verethragna. Thus, he became the youngest—and seventh—Campione. Now that he is a Campione, a godslayer, the young Godou must defeat the troublemaking gods, with the help of his followers!

    Highschool DxD

I, Hyoudou Issei, am a 2nd Year High school student and my age is equal to the number of years I haven't had a girlfriend. And, someone like me got a girlfriend! I'm sorry buddies, I will walk the path of becoming an adult before you guys! --That's how it was supposed to be, but why did I get killed by my girlfriend!?

I still haven't done anything yet! Are there no Gods in this World!?

And, the person who saved me is the most beautiful girl in my school, Rias Gremory-senpai. I learned the shocking truth from her who isn't a God but a Devil. "You have reincarnated as a Devil! Work for me!"

Lured by Senpai's breasts and treats, my life as a reincarnated Devil began.

So the "Academy×Love Comedy×Battle Fantasy” starts here with just aggressive and worldly desires!

    Fate/Zero

War of the Holy Grail - Pursuing the power of the "Holy Grail" which grants a miracle, this is a contest in which seven magi summon seven Heroic Spirits to compete for it. In that battle whose conclusion was postponed three times, now, the fourth war commenced again. Entrusting their dearest wish of victory, the magi joined the battleground called "Fuyuki", but amongst them, there was a man who was always alone, and could not find out the meaning behind his fights. His name was Kotomine Kirei. Not comprehending the guidance of fate, Kirei was lost, and had kept questioning. Why someone like his was given the Command Seals. However, the fate of his fights crossed Kirei's path with a nemesis by chance. That person is - Emiya Kiritsugu. A man who was sterner than anyone else, more merciless than anyone else, and who sought the miracle of the Holy Grail.

Merely recited in fragments in Fate/Stay Night, this is the Fourth War of the Holy Grail 10 years ago. The truth which unfolded behind the battle between Shirō's foster father, Rin's father, and the younger Kotomine Kirei, is finally revealed......

There's also the Monogatari Series and Sword Art Online but you're probably better of watching the anime for them. The first only has a few translated volumes and the second has apparently been licensed so the first six volumes can't be read anymore.

Oh, and there's the well-known romance Toradora. And the never-to-be-completed, crossover bait Familiar of Zero.

Question from someone who has never read manga before and wants to start with a familiar fandom:

What's the best Pokemon manga (that is easily torrentable)?

87 Clockers is about a young man entering his last year at music school, and deciding that music is bull and he should dedicate his time to competitive extreme PC overclocking.

Again!!! is a time-travel story focused on a friendless high school boy who gets a chance to fix his past mistakes, make whole new ones in the process, and become a cheer squad member.

Crimsons is a 20 chapter manga that's basically just Gurren Lagann, but without the robots, and everyone is a fish. 120% Awesome; if you enjoy hot-blooded shounen shenanigans, this is one for you.

Saint Young Men is about Jesus and Buddha sharing an apartment in downtown Tokyo.

Teppu is a manga about mixed martial arts. The protaganist is a girl who is both naturally good at any kind of sport, and a sadistic bitch about it. In any other series she would've been cast as the bad guy/rival, but not here. It reminded me a lot of Holyland, so if you liked that one then check out Teppu.

    Speaking of Holyland...

Suicide Island is set in a world in which Japan has decided to exile people who have attempted suicide and failed to a deserted island. Lacking resources and knowledge, we follow a young man as he tries to survive his new home.

Destroy and Revolution is about the growing friendship between Makoto, an introvert who is coming into weird supernatural powers, and Yuuki, a charismatic terrorist in the making. They fight crime destabilize society.

Koe no Katachi is about the relationship between a girl who is deaf, and one of the boys who was an absolute shitbird to her when they were younger. It's pretty goddamn sweet.

81diver is like Hikaru no Go, except it's about gambling on shogi, and boobs.

Gamble Fish is another gambling manga. More generalized than 81diver in terms of games. It's absolutely ridiculous, and also has plenty of fanservice.

I am a Hero is awesome, and to say anything more would give away one of the best three page spreads I've ever seen. Go read the first volume, it's worth it.
