Isn't that kind of against the whole "No Warez" rule?

Unless Megashare became legit at some point and I didn't notice.

Imagine the most intense, most exasperated 'whatever' you have ever heard, and apply it here.

This entire discussion makes me wonder how long the Twilight vampires would last against the various members of the Belmont family/Castlevania protagonists (including Gabriel, who is not actually part of the family, both pre and post transformation into Dracula).

I'm fairly certain that the vast majority of the extended family would die (they are, after all, just humans. Extremely gifted supernatural hunters, but still human), but post transformation Gabriel at full strength would probably kick some serious ass, and perhaps his son as well.

Was jonesing for decent Dragon Age fics and found this guy:

    Forbidden Magic by Drummerchick7 reviews
Thrust from the Circle's watchful gaze, Solona Amell fights to save Ferelden from the Blight. Along the way, she learns of love, the world, and herself, and becomes more powerful than anyone could have possibly imagined. Leliana/F!Warden, Zevran/Wynne, Alistair/Morrigan. Rated M.
    Dragon Age - Rated: M - English - Fantasy/Romance - Chapters: 52 - Words: 290,866 - Reviews: 149 - Favs: 96 - Follows: 138 - Updated: 14h ago - Published: Mar 14, 2013 - [Leliana, Amell] [Zevran A., Wynne]

It's... all right. Follows an overpowered arcane warrior mage through the story, and really sticks close to canon. It's probably a 2.5ish/5 fic, but it's long and has some pretty hot F!Amell and Leliana scenes, so if you're bored and need to kill time, it's not bad.

I'm stuck on the 'Zevran/Wynne' pairing.

Zevran and Wynne is squicky af, true. But Alistair and Morrigan only bang once. (Though I think it's leading up to one of the endings with the archdemon and using Morrigan's baby ritual). Morrigan is actually characterized well.

Already gave a review in ff, but I should at least give it a rec here. Pretty good, just not you on your best. In my opinion you are on your best the more the more you write about the story. It seems to me, the more you write, the better you understand the characters and the story goes more fluidly.

Stiiil, nice fic, great ideia, wish I could see more of them together. Eris is great, Sinbad is great, and Marina is the opposite. Always thought they would be nice together. Also, I have a thing for defrosting incredibly powerful, badass and hot women.

    ---------- Post automerged at 03:01 ---------- Previous post was at 02:56 ----------

No, just, no. It's completely against canon. I can understand one pairing against canon, given time and a lot of ability, you can do it without destroying it. But doing 3 romances, and those 2? Give me Oghren and Anora, at least I would see that mad power backstabing bitch suffer. Plus, Oghren.

I get it, I really do, but of those two, only Zevran/Wynne is a pairing. Which is almost 2weird in and of itself. The other is virginal Alistair kinda (very kinda, like I don't even know why it deserves to be listed as of now) pursuing the last available tail.

I honestly don't know why I'm putting so much token defense into the superficial pairings of a mediocre story in a fandom mostly bereft of even that.

The opposite would be much more realistic. And unless Zev/Wynne is crack, with drunken sex and a lot of regret and puns, I wouldn't even try.

Good pickup, Tasoli. I mistakenly thought that Inviolate was already in our Library. It's been a while, but I remember really enjoying it, even though some parts were a bit hokey - in particular Lex's romantic entanglements.

Scrivener's Variant Strain - a Spiderman/Prototype fusion - is even better than Inviolate. The author is improving.

Was looking for High School DxD crossovers and came across this:

A Demon Among Devils Igor had asked him to die for the world. She would ask him to die for her. Problem was, he didn't really like dying, not for a second time, at least.Crossover - Persona Series & High School DxD/ハイスクールD×D - Rated: T - English - Adventure/Fantasy - Chapters: 5 - Words: 29,190 - Reviews: 381 - Favs: 462 - Follows: 453 - Updated: 16h ago - Published: Mar 29 - Minato A.

    Its definitely worth a read.

Decent persona fics are difficult enough to find, let alone crossovers; that being said - eh, sure. I'll give it shot once I have more than a few minutes.

I've become pretty interested in DxD, but I don't know a damn thing about Persona. Previous knowledge required?

It would help, but it's not required no. There's a lot of references to the events of Persona 3, but speaking as someone who's never played a single game in the series, I was able to get a grasp on the important bits just from the story alone. A wiki walk probably wouldn't hurt, but it's not necessary to enjoy the story.

The story is pretty good, but you can tell the author has a better understanding of Persona than DxD. The biggest strike against it is that they mention Rias wanting Minato to be resurrected as a Bishop but at this point in time she should have used up both of her Bishop's considering she just resurrected Asia and her other Bishop is already in use. The only pieces she should have left at this point in time are a Knight and a Rook.

Other than that the story seems rather well done, and when we get a few more chapters it will probably be library worthy.

There is little angst, actually. Beyond that, the author has a pretty good handle on the English language and at times, can turn a phrase very well, making the interactions between Calypso and Leo quite humorous.

The summary lays out the basic premise, but there is a whole lot of universe building and backstory interspersed through the story, and done pretty well as well.

Problems with the fic: a few run-on sentences and a proclivity toward adverbs, not to mention short chapters and tons of author notes in each chapter.

Don't read the Author notes. It'll spoil you for the writing. In the notes, the author comes across as the typical 15 year old fangirl. The writing, however, has too much quality for that to be true.

I've had a hankering for some Highlander lately and there seems to be precious little to speak of.

Don't Disrespect the Queen HP/Highlander - The powers of the immortals combine in the one receiving the Prize. In the film, upon defeating the Kurgan, Connor MacLeod receives the gift of telepathy. What if he were also gifted with magic? HP/Highlander first film crossover. Not slash.

It's by Pers, and is likely somewhere in the library if I could be arsed to look for it.

I vaguely remember a crossover with Kenshin where he stayed with Kaoru and family as she aged and after some shenanigans involving an adopted son, ended up moving to England and then eventually to the United States in the early 1900's after a throw down in order to hide and avoid some other immortals.

Other than that, I've been unable to find anything that isn't either poorly written slash or... no. It's pretty much all slash.

Please please somehow prove me wrong on that last one.
