I believe that everybody has pretty much agreed that this can only end badly for Taylor, likely when she tries to pull this on Jack, or when she finally pisses off enough people.

The way I see this going wrong for her is that all of her 'fathers' are going to chase after her in their own way, causing havoc whenever they intersect.

I'm really enjoying The End Bringer which is a Final Fantasy / Worm Fusion thing with Taylor as a white mage.

You're not missing much, the only parts that have any relevance at this point are those pointed out by the Detect spell, which you'll receive explanations for when they come up. Though I do recall that he didn't explain what Holy meant in regards to Alexandria.

Holy is a magical element along the same lines as fire and water, and is primarily used for healing spells. Undead creatures are weak to Holy, as are a few other critters, so they take damage from healing spells and the likes (makes it really easy to beat Undead bosses because you can just throw a revive spell/item at them and they die instantly).

In this case it basically means that Alexandria's body is effectively undead. That's probably the same for all Case-53s, now that I think about it. They're using dead shards, after all.

This is a more general question. Did canon ever state whether they used parahumans to explore space? I know their was a fully functioning moon base(is there a story about this?)

Like can Eidolon have tinker equipment given to him and he goes into the heart of Jupiter seeing as he is indestructible? can doormaker make doors to other planets?

Seriously has it ever been explained why humanity didn't take the parahuman opportunity to fully explore space?

Mostly because parahumans were too busy dealing with other parahumans. Then along came the Endbringers and nobody wants to deal with a bunch of astronauts getting messed about by the Simurgh. They could quite easily take out a city just by crashing the ship.

That's true for Tinker stuff(although it didn't stop them from building the moon base) but what about utilising cape abilities? Not everyone was part of the protectorate or a gang of villains.

Mannequin did his best to help out humanity, so I'm wondering whether there was another reason some astrophysicist gained powers that could allow him to explore space and he didn't.

That to me just seems like a terrible waste unless no one was really interested in space after discovering alternate universes?

Can doormaker make a door to another planet?

... I really like the idea of Glaistig Uaine traveling through time and space after Scion's death, searching for entity breadcrumbs and helping other universes defeat their shardgivers.

Space Battles is convinced that the Simurgh actively stops all substantial space activity. I'm not sure if that's speculation based on Sphere, or sourced from canon or WOG.

It is likely that the entities limited humanity or the shards in some way against major space travel, because they wouldn't want half of their food to have migrated to Alpha Centauri come harvest time.

More of that people (in-universe) believe the Simurgh will prevent space travel, but as the readers we know she may have interfered with Sphere for entirely unrelated reasons (if you take the "Ziz planned everything" view).

So I just took the time to legitimately read Zenith instead of skimming it, and boy its really really good. Not gonna lie, was kinda disappointed when he wasn't expanding control, eye, but love Zenith so far.

Once and Again, a story from spacebattles that I don't think was mentioned here. Basically, Taylor is put through an event similar to what Emma went through, then Taylor develops a friendship with Shadow Stalker. It's not the best story, but it's readable.

Because I know a lot of people here aren't going to go through all the pages of this thread for recommendations (and for my own convenience), I'm going to put up a quick list of stories I've been following on Spacebattles.

Daddy's Girl: Taylor with the power to make any man see her has his daughter, even if that man never had a daughter to begin with. Creepy as fuck, but excellent.

    Manager
: Taylor with an 'Administrator' shard, which lets her steal and redistribute powers. Then she becomes Slenderman. It's a long story. One of my favorites.

Heredity: A story with Panacea being the POV character, with Taylor being transferred to Arcadia. There's a Panacea friendship, with her using her powers in ways other then healing. Taylor seems a little OP, but it's a decent read over all.

Death's Head: This one was the big surprise to me. Its the Tinker!Taylor fic where the caveat is that she can only make things with Nazi Iconography. I wasn't expecting to like this at all, but I liked it a whole bunch.

    Clockwork
: Another Tinker!Taylor, but this time her thing is making clockwork robots with fully fleshed out personalities and AIs. Not the best, but still an easy read.

Weaver Nine: One where Taylor and Jack Slash have switched places. It hasn't been updated in a while, but the thread was recently unlocked so there's signs of life. I've really enjoyed what there is, but it's not great yet. Once there's more Taylor, it might reach that level.

That's it for the ones I recommend. I also tried to get through One More Trigger, but it fell flat real fast. It's thing is 'What if Emma triggered when she was being attacked?'. It's an interesting concept, and one I haven't seen before, but it turns to shit pretty much right away.

Death's Head was just okay, I didn't get around to reading it before now because I found the idea of a Tinker forced to use that specific iconography stupid.
The writing is a bit rough around the edges, I noticed a surprising amount of errors in the first short post, and the plot as well as character interaction certainly has some weaknesses, I found his other, more crackish, story; Shy Girl a better read so far.

I think Heredity is one of the best stories out there at the moment. It's interesting and I cant wait to seeing more of it.

Another story worth mentioning is Nematomorpha. It's updating semi regularly and focuses on Danny. Well worth a read honestly.

Anyone else reading Manager? Does anyone else have this sort of irrational feeling that what Taylor is doing is...I don't know, unfair? I get that she only wants to do it to bad people but there's something pretty horrifying about her alter ego and its actions.

Mostly bad people yeah, but there are exceptions. Including but not limited to Case 53's.

I did feel sorta bad for Kenta, Oni, Viktor and Othala. But it's tempered by what they use the powers for.
