Agreed. I was expecting the autumn. They only started filming properly in February didn't they?

Its probably because they aren't splitting up the seasons anymore. With 13 episodes starting in August the season should last until late October or early November.

Finally. I hated how they split the last couple of seasons up; it just killed any interest I had in the story arc for them.

God, it feels like years since I've watched Doctor Who.

    Unsure if excited yet.

Well, the last "normal" episode was way back in may of last year. Since then we had the two specials.

    Yay new episodes!

I saw that 'Am I am good man?' trailer, and I have no idea what he says before the actual question. Help?

Sounds like "Clara be my pal, tell me - am I a good man?" or something along those lines, doesn't help that Capaldi's muttering alongside the TARDIS and random explosion noises dubbed over it.

Looking forward to it, near anything would be an improvement albeit the continuation of Clara's storyline better go somewhere pretty damn fast.

I love John Smith's videos! His/her mashup of Sherlock and Doctor Who was epic! They even uploaded a video showing how they made it. Someone linked it earlier in this forum.

Anyone have a linked for the leaked scripts?

Just read the leaked scripts. They're very interesting.

    Episode 1:
I'm not a fan of regeneration episodes. This one has a lot of interesting callbacks, as Moffat is wont to do. Setting up the season arc is nicely done, although it's strongly reminiscent of the Kovarian plot.

    Episode 2:
This one's going to come down to execution. Deals with the Doctor's darkness, but that's been done a lot already. The special effects should be good, and we get a missed companion. Interesting take on the Doctor at the end, refusing the soldier.

    Episode 3:
This one's going to be fun. Probably my favorite of the lot.

    Episode 4:
Twisty time travel story. Moffat attempting to be clever. Yawn.

I liked his early stuff, but it's all so similar to each other...

    Episode 5:
I'm probably going to have to watch it to understand it. The plot twist was pretty obvious, but the purpose for the episode still confuses me. Why did the owner of the bank want to save the two monsters? Why would anyone want a bank like this?

At least it's a new planet.

So ... you're posting your opinion on the scripts but not the link of the scripts themselves?

I downloaded them yesterday, read the first one and then deleted the rest. I really wish I hadn't read it. Spoilers are one thing, even if all the major plot points and twists get spoiled at least you're left with the fun of seeing how it all comes together. Having the entire script laid out in front of you, every line of dialogue, every scene transition, every camera angle... it's completely killed any excitement I had for watching the actual episode. It would be like watching a repeat with worse special effects, because the BBC's budget can't afford to match what my imagination has already come up with.

It's about the same experience as watching the episodes to me, and by the time they actually air the memories will be more fuzzy. You also don't get the flairs that the actors add in their interpretations of the script.

People rewatch episodes all the time, is it not the same thing?
