Read Carnage and it's pretty much my favorite fic now. It is perhaps the best written fic I've read with maybe the exception of Cenotaph . And that's great because it needs to be, with a dozen Butchers in Taylor's mind.

    Go read it.

Nah, the author wrote it. The concept for it was something a fan threw out, and the author apparently liked it and ran with it, though he had complained about writer's block beforehand, so it may have been he just did it because nothing else was gelling. /shrug

Wish we'd seen Tailor's reaction to the MouseProtector/Whatsitsface hybrid thing Bonesaw made tho.

The highlight of the S9 chapters were really Imp for me and the interactions within the group. With how silly and amusing these shorts are, it would have taken away from the story if the S9 had been taken even a least bit seriously and dealt with how you guys wanted.

The author, imo, made the right decision when she decided to take them down in the silliest and lamest way she could. I am just glad they are not hanging like the Sword of Damocles over the story any more, threatening to ruin the fun by committing atrocities and whatnot.

Then the author can't have it both ways, you can't have a serious Coil chapter and then deal with the S9/Endbringers idiotically.

It wasn't really serious though. Taylor kicked the door in, Coil tried to backpedal, making excuses, not using his power an all, Taylor kicks his ass, Taylor dumped Coil at the door of the PRT and then more shenanigans.

    Not exactly a serious moment.

Yeah, but wasn't the S9 chapter basically a bunch of comedic coincidences?

It's one thing to have an implausibly competent but seemingly bumbling character. This was the universe letting us know "Hey! This is a crack!fic!"

Yeah, for the most part of it you could chalk it up to basically Taylor being a troll character in the Worm-verse, and Clockblocker playing along because that's who he is. Everyone kind of lets her get away with it because she's not causing any harm. It's still the Worm-verse, and that's also shown in the brief Leviathan chapter.

The S9 chapter changes that though. Now it's not just Taylor who's acting a bit silly, it's the entire verse that's silly. And to me, that removes most of the enjoyment and a lot of the humour too.

Meh, I didn't really like Techno Queen. Jacobk's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragonfly makes for much better humor. Basically, Taylor's got the Shaker power to end all Shaker powers; it turns everything around her into a kung-fu flick, of which she is the protagonist.

I searched and hadn't seen it posted here, but wkz's Meh, I can take them all! is an enjoyable read for me. It's a One Punch Man crossover where Saitama is born in the Wormverse and lives in Brockton Bay. I wouldn't put it above Almost Recommended, but it's worth reading if you can stand Saitama breezing through all challenges and a few bad jokes.

There's an offhand mention of Dinah planning out all the "coincidences" in a later chapter which vaguely justifies it. I still prefer to just ignore that chapter and pretend the S9 died offscreen somehow.

I just found a really interesting story on FFnet.

Incarnation, where, after Scion's defeat, Taylor finds herself back before canon started, before she even triggered.

    But there's a twist.

It's not Taylor who comes back, but the jail broken Queen Administrator, stuck in Taylor's eighteen-year-old body. Fifteen-year-old Taylor still exists, and QA's first act is to kidnap her so she can help her.
It's only two chapters, but the story was posted in June 1st, so I have hopes of a fast update rate.

I second this recommendation, I was at bit leery of this crossover at first, but it seem as long as you don't get overboard it could be pretty nice. The author got a nice balance between two verses.

To be honest I didn't have much knowledge of the Megaman franchise previously, but aside from a few cursory glances at the wiki no previous knowledge is actually needed.

I opened this hoping for Megaman a la The Protomen band, and was extremely disappointed.

Nematomorpha just updated. Gotta say, that's quickly becoming my favorite Worm fic.

Anyone know any other stories with Danny triggering that are worth anything?

I posted a similar comment about Nematomorpha last time it updated. With the latest one, I think I'm in love with the story. So many things are done amazingly. Danny caring for Taylor. Danny's call with the school. Danny talking to Lisa. Affinity hiring a mook.

I concur. This fic has made Danny a real character and not just a Woobie. I can't give any higher praise to a Worm fic than that.

Is Tailor a cape as well in Nematomorpha? Or is it just Danny?
