Recently is a relative term when we're talking about immortal beings. It could mean anything from prehistory to the Battle of Hastings (the last time there was a Starborn Winter Knight). I'm more inclined to say it happened in prehistoric times, possibly venturing into Egyptian/Babylonian era human civilisation.
